The event will be another step in Netflix’s aggressive push into live “sports-adjacent programming,” which has the potential to draw large audiences without the kind of investment that streaming games from professional sports leagues requires. Congress leaders including former ministers Rajendra Yadav and Lal Chand Kataria joined the BJP Sunday, days before the expected announcement of the Lok Sabha elections. Former Congress MLAs Ricchpal Mirdha, his son Vijaypal Mirdha and Khiladi Bairwa; former independent MLA Alok Beniwal, former state chief of Congress Seva Dal Suresh Chaudhary, Rampal Sharma and Riju Jhunjhunwala among other leaders also joined the state's ruling party. Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot hit out these leaders, saying «people are saying they have pressure from central agencies therefore they are leaving the Congress and joining the BJP». It is a second major jolt to the Congress within a few days as former minister Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya recently joined the BJP which fielded him from Basnwara in the LS elections.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu should introspect and realise who is responsible for the current situation, said the nine MLAs, including three independents and six disqualified Congress MLAs, who voted in favour of the BJP in the recent Rajya Sabha polls. In a joint statement issued here, the MLAs said they are fighting a battle of self-respect and questioned the mindset of the chief minister, who is approaching them for compromise on one hand and issuing statements like black snakes and shepherds on the other hand. During public meetings, Sukhu had said that six black snakes of the Congress sold their honour and tried to destabilise the state government and later compared them to shepherds being moved from one place to another. The nine MLAs include six Congress rebels Sudhir Sharma, Ravi Thakur, Rajinder Rana, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Chetanya Sharma and Devinder Kumar Bhutto, and three independents Ashish Sharma, Hoshiyar Singh and K L Thakur.
