Infosys on Thursday reported nearly 11% year-on-year (YoY) growth in consolidated net profit for the June quarter to Rs 5,945 crore. The bottomline was lower than the ET Now poll of Rs 6,150 crore. Consolidated revenue for the quarter increased by 10% YoY to Rs 37,933 crore.

Adani Group will continue to use its ACC and Ambuja cement brands to sell cement products and has no plans to merge the two entities, Ajay Kapur, chief executive officer of both cement companies, said at an annual shareholder meeting. The group became India's second-largest cement producer in 2022, behind UltraTech Cement, with its $10.5 billion acquisition of both Ambuja Cements and ACC from Switzerland's Holcim. Maruti Suzuki's popular sub-4 meter compact SUV, the Brezza, has undergone significant changes in its lineup. Maruti Suzuki has discreetly introduced an update to the Brezza model, bringing noteworthy changes to its feature list and technology arrangement among specific variants. Fino Payments Bank is keen to become a small finance bank after having completed five years of operations, Managing Director Rishi Gupta said. The Navi Mumbai-based company is a subsidiary of Fino Paytech, which is backed by marquee investors such as Bharat Petroleum, ICICI Group, Blackstone, IFC, Intel and LIC, among others. The company started operations in July 2017 with 410 branches to become the fourth payments bank after Airtel Payments Bank, India Post Payments Bank and Paytm Payments Bank. Fino, which was a remittance service provider, has converted most of its Fino Money Mart outlets into bank branches after getting licence from the Reserve Bank. Also, Fino is the only lender in this space being traded on the exchanges. «From regulatory and compliance perspectives we are eligible for an upgrade to a small finance bank, having completed the mandatory five years of operations. Our board also favours such a conversion and soon we'll be moving an application with the RBI in this regard,» Gupta told PTI.

As per the Commissioner's order, “All Government/private schools, pre-schools, Anganwaris of Sub-Division Nichar and Tehsil Sangla, District Kinnaur to remain closed from 20th to 22nd July in apprehension of flash floods and landslides." Shree Cement share price declined over 2 per cent in the morning trade on Thursday, a day after the company said the government ordered an inspection of the company. Samvardhana Motherson International (SAMIL), formerly Motherson Sumi, is looking to raise funds by issuing overseas bonds after five years. The company is gauging investor interest as it aims to garner more than $500 million equivalent through euro or dollar or yuan -denominated bond sales for growth and capital expenditure. The company roped in HSBC to reach out to investors in a non-deal roadshow earlier this week and it may consider issuing overseas bonds in the second half of the financial year, two sources said.
