DMK MLA from the Vikravandi constituency in the Villupuram district, passed away at the Government Villupuram Medical College and Hospital (GVMCH) in Mundiyambakkam after a brief illness. As per the available information, Mr. Pugazhenthi was hospitalized at the GVMCH a few days ago due to a health condition that he had complained of. On Friday, April 5, he was released from custody and went to the public gathering at Vikravandi where Chief Minister M.K. Stalin spoke. But on Friday night, his health deteriorated, and he was admitted to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for treatment. There, on Saturday morning, at 10.35 a.m., he passed away.
