Through this investment, KKR will leverage its extensive experience in the global healthcare and technology sectors to accelerate Infinx’s growth, expand the company’s network, and support bolt-on acquisitions, stated a company release. Norwest Venture Partners, an existing shareholder, also participated in the transaction. Co-founded in 2012 by Sandeep Tandon and Jaideep Tandon, Infinx is a provider of data-driven revenue cycle management solutions for the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on the US market. Infinx’s Healthcare Revenue Cloud platform supports end-to-end revenue cycle business functions utilizing AI, automation, payer integration, and workforce management.

Animal healthcare solutions firm Ajooni Biotech on Tuesday opened its rights issue with an aim to raise Rs 43.81 crore from existing shareholders. Ajooni Biotech will offer 8,76,13,721 fully paid-up equity shares of the face value of Rs 2 each at a price of Rs 5 per equity share aggregating to Rs 43.81 crore, the company said in a statement. The issue will close on May 31.

KKR is looking to acquire a minority stake in the Tandon Group-owned healthcare BPO Infinx Healthcare. The global private equity major is likely to invest about $150 million, or Rs 1,250 crore, to acquire about 26% stake in Infinx, two people aware of the development told ET. «We expect this sector (healthcare BPO) to continue growing in India, driven by global demand, and believe that Infinx is well placed to meet this gap through its tech-enabled solutions,» Akshay Tanna, partner and head of India private equity at KKR, told ET. «We will draw on our local knowledge and healthcare expertise to support Infinx's growth and build a healthcare platform, including through organic and inorganic growth strategies.»

Singapore is seeing a new COVID-19 wave as the authorities recorded more than 25,900 cases from May 5 to 11 even as Health Minister Ong Ye Kung on Saturday advised the wearing of masks again. «We are at the beginning part of the wave where it is steadily rising,» said Ong. «So, I would say the wave should peak in the next two to four weeks, which means between mid- and end of June,» The Straits Times newspaper quoted the minister as saying. The Ministry of Health (MOH) said the estimated number of COVID-19 cases in the week of May 5 to 11 rose to 25,900 cases, compared with 13,700 cases in the previous week.
