G20 summit are yet another reminder of the growing and ever-present threat to digital security. In fact, several hackers are likely to have attacked India's digital infrastructure during the summit, claims CloudSEK, a cyber-security company. Between 2020 and 2022, India averaged 1.3 million cybersecurity incidents a year, according to data presented in Parliament based on incidents reported to or tracked by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), a government nodal agency.

(Reuters) — IBM (NYSE:IBM) said on Wednesday it is notifying customers of Janssen CarePath, a Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) unit, of a «data incident» involving unauthorized access of personal information.

IBM on Wednesday renewed its research collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore to transform and drive breakthrough innovations in the field of hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence (AI). IIT Bombay joined the IBM AI Horizon Network in 2018 to advance AI research in India, and in 2021, IBM and IISc Bangalore launched the IBM-IISc Hybrid Cloud lab to advance research in hybrid cloud technologies and drive breakthrough innovations in this area.

Indian Bank has collaborated with Nasdaq-listed IBM to deploy future ready infrastructure to enhance scalability and agility. The city-headquartered bank wanted to consolidate its front branch servers for better manageability and availability at Data Centres and Disaster Recovery centres under their 'Project Paradise' initiative. Project Paradise initiative of Indian Bank refers to — Performance Augmentation by Resource Aggregation in Distributed Environment. IBM has collaborated with Indian Bank, to accelerate its modernisation path with flexible and secure infrastructure for deploying new front-end banking applications, while addressing the business growth of the Core Banking Solution workloads of the bank, a bank statement here said. The government needs to support setting up national AI computing centers and common data sets for specific use cases, he said.
