However, IIHL in a separate affidavit had said it has funds and the same will be transferred once the escrow account is in place which has conditions listed out. Suresh Gopi on Sunday said that the Centre will examine the legality behind the demand from various quarters to classify as a national disaster the landslides that hit this north Kerala district and killed hundreds. Gopi, who is Union Minister of State for Tourism, Petroleum and Natural Gas, said that the Central government will «examine its legal aspects» after carrying out an evaluation of the landslides which wiped away hundreds of homes in Mundakkai and Chooralmala areas of the district. «The impact has to be studied,» he said. CBI has registered an FIR into a major racket of making Aadhaar cards allegedly using forged documents and fingerprints for Rs 25,000 in Rajasthan, officials said, adding that three persons have been booked. The matter came to light through a news report after a complaint was filed with police by a programmer in the department of information technology and communication, Manohar Lal, in Sanchore, they said.

Delhi High Court has upheld an order accepting cancellation report filed by the police in a complaint filed against BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain alleging rape and criminal intimidation.
