terminated the services of six government employees, including five policemen and a teacher for their alleged involvement in «anti-national» activities.
The terminated employees were identified as Saif-ud-din from Doda, selection grade constable; Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, head constable from Kupwara; Khalid Hussian Shah, selection grade constable from Kupwara; Rahmat Shah, constable of Kupwara; Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo, selection grade constable of Baramulla and Nazam Din, a teacher in the education department from Poonch.
The order stated that J&K LG Manoj Sinha was satisfied that after considering the facts and circumstances of the case and on the basis of the information available that their activities are such as to warrant their dismissal from service under Article 311 (2) ©, without any enquiry.
As many as 70 government employees' services have been terminated after the J&K administration in 2021 constituted a task force to scrutinise government employees suspected of activities requiring action under Article 311(2)© of the Constitution.
