Three days after two visitors jumped from the visitor's gallery into Lok Sabha chamber, Birla wrote a letter to all the MPs that a high-level committee has been constituted for an «in-depth investigation» of the incident and another high-level panel for reviewing security of the Parliament complex. In the two-page letter, Birla cited various similar incidents that happened in the past, including when some MPs carried pepper spray in the House. He underlined that on all such occasions, the House expressed collective resolve against such incidents. He reiterated that it is Parliament's responsibility to formulate a detailed action plan on security measures in accordance with MPs' suggestions. Talking about the suspension of MPs, Birla said linking it with breach of security was 'unfortunate' while asserting that there is «no association» between the two.
