So far, six people have been arrested in connection with the incident and two are currently under detention. "The nation has witnessed in the past incident such as visitors carrying pistols, shouting slogans, jumping from the visitor's gallery and throwing leaflets," he noted. The Lok Sabha Speaker clarified that there is "no association between the suspension of Hon'ble Members and the incident which took place on December 13, 2023." He noted that some members and political parties "are linking the decision of the House to suspend some Hon'ble Members from the service of the House to the" Parliament breach incident.
