IIT Kharagpur students received 750 offers, including pre-placement offers, till the end of Day 1 of Phase-I of the 2024-25 placement process, the institute said in a statement on Monday. Nine students have secured international offers and 11 students have received compensation packages exceeding Rs 1 crore in Day 1. The highest package received so far is 2.14 Cr. Apple, Capital One, DE Shaw, Glean, Google, Graviton, Microsoft, Optiver, Quantbox, Databricks, Squarepoint Capital, Ebullient Securities, Samsara and many more companies participated on Day 1. Few companies such as Capital One, Microsoft, Qualcomm, American Express, Flipkart, Meesho, Mastercard have given significantly large number of offers, the institute said.
