Senco Gold share price jumps over 7% as Emkay Global raises target price after Q3 results; Should you buy?
₹818.05 apiece on the BSE. Senco Gold reported a consolidated net profit of ₹109.32 crore for the quarter ended December 31, a rise of 5.8% from ₹103.35 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company’s revenue from operations in Q3FY24 rose 23.3% to ₹1,652.20 crore from ₹1,339.63 crore, year-on-year (YoY), led by strong 17% SSG and 11% increase in average store count.

New home for Shriram Housing Finance: Private equity funds close in on deal
Bain Capital, Advent International and CVC Capital are among the private equity funds that are competing to buy Shriram Housing Finance Ltd (SHFL), an arm of Chennai-based non-banking finance company (NBFC) Shriram Finance, said people with knowledge of the matter. These three, along with Warburg Pincus, have been shortlisted after non-binding bids were submitted by potential buyers in mid-December. They are currently engaged in conducting due diligence. Binding bids are due in a fortnight. Parent Shriram Finance, which is mainly involved in commercial vehicle financing, owns 84.82% of SHFL, which focuses on affordable homes. San Francisco-based PE Valiant Capital Management owns most of the remaining stake.

India begins talks with IEA for full membership
International Energy Agency's member countries have begun talks with India on its application to become a full member of the Paris-based agency of 31 nations, IEA said on Wednesday. In a statement issued after IEA's 2024 ministerial meeting in Paris, the agency said the talks with India are in recognition of the country's "strategic importance" in tackling global energy and climate challenges. «The Ministerial gave the IEA a strong mandate to deepen cooperation with major emerging economies. This includes starting discussions with India on its request for full IEA membership,» it added. India, which joined the IEA as an associate member in 2017, sent a formal request for full membership in October 2023.

Europe’s Box Office in 2023: How Barbenheimer and Spider-Man ruled the big screen
European cinema landscape experienced a prosperous year in 2023, with significant contributions from blockbuster films such as Barbie, Oppenheimer, The Super Mario Bros.
