Adam Johnson cause of death: What happened to ice hockey player?
Adam Johnson's death in England has shocked everyone and now a man has been apprehended by the police in connection with the incident. The individual in custody faces charges of suspicion of manslaughter. However, the identity has not yet been disclosed. The arrest follows an investigation by South Yorkshire Police into the circumstances surrounding 29-year-old Johnson's death on October 31, characterized as a «freak accident» by the Nottingham Panthers. Johnson, a player for the Panthers, tragically lost his life when his neck was cut by the skate blade of Matt Petgrave from the Sheffield Steelers during an on-ice collision. Following the incident, Johnson was rushed to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield by ambulance, where he was declared dead, as stated in the Sheffield coroner’s report. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Johnson's cause of death was a neck injury, according to the police. This unfortunate incident has prompted increased scrutiny of player safety in the sport. In response, the English Ice Hockey Association has mandated the use of neck guards for all players during on-ice activities, starting from December 31. Adam Johnson hailed from Minnesota and had a brief stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League (NHL). Last week, public and private memorials were held for Johnson in Hibbing, Minn., with a heartfelt eulogy shared by his fiancee, Ryan Wolfe.

André 3000: Rapper to release new solo album 'New Blue Sun,' his first in 17 years, check dates
André 3000 delighted fans in a recent interview by announcing the release of his first solo album in 17 years, titled "New Blue Sun." The project is set to launch on November 17, 2023 Contrary to expectations, «New Blue Sun» isn't a traditional rap album. In an attempt to prevent any confusion among his fans, André 3000 expressed that he didn't want people to assume, «Oh, this André 3000 album is coming!» only to find out, "Oh man, no verses," when they listen to. He mentioned that even on the packaging, there would be a warning stating, «No bars.» The album, spanning a remarkable 87 minutes, takes an experimental and minimalist approach, featuring tribal and transcendent sounds. André 3000 showcases his mastery of various flutes, including contrabass flute, Mayan flutes, and bamboo flutes, along with digital wind instruments. André's love for the flute, a central instrument in «New Blue Sun,» has been a point of curiosity for many. In an interview, he shared that his obsession with the flute has raised eyebrows among friends in Atlanta. «My homies in Atlanta, we’ll talk, and they’ll be like, ‘Man, you know people think you crazy messing around with this flute,’» he humorously revealed, acknowledging the unconventional nature of his musical pursuits. The genesis of «New Blue Sun» started unexpectedly when André met experimental jazz artist Carlos Niño at an L.A. grocery store. The impromptu jam sessions in Niño's basement introduced André to a group of talented performers, resulting in a year-long collaborative effort. The album, with its improvised real-time creation, unveils André's unrefined soul and offers insight into his unique creative process.

1962 Ferrari auctioned for $51.7 mn in New York: Sotheby's
1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sports car sold for $51.7 million in New York on Monday, making it the second most expensive car ever sold at auction, Sotheby's said. The bright red roadster had been the property of an American collector for the past 38 years, and its auction price was surpassed only by that of a Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe that went for 135 million euros in 2022, the auction house said. That would be $144 million at today's exchange rate. The 250 GTO went on sale Monday evening after a few minutes of bidding in the auction room, but at a price lower than the more than $60 million expected by RM Sotheby's, the luxury car subsidiary of the auction house. Sotheby's did not identify the winning bidder. Dating from 1962, this legendary Scuderia sports car — chassis 3765, four-liter engine developing 390 horsepower — had finished second in a 1,000 km endurance race on the German Nurburgring circuit, as well as in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the team had to withdraw due to engine failure, according to RM Sotheby's. After several years of competition on the Italian mainland and in Sicily, the car was sold and exported to the US in the late 1960s. Restored and modified, the 250 GTO changed American owners several times before ending up in the hands of an Ohio «dedicated collector» in 1985, who sold it on Monday. «This stunning GTO offers its next caretaker further touring and vintage racing enjoyment, or display at major concours d'elegance and marque gatherings worldwide,» Sotheby's said. The Mercedes 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe that fetched 135 million euros in 2022 was one of only two examples of the sport car.
