The Ather dealership platform aims to reduce customer turnaround time which usually takes about four weeks to address. Through the collaboration, the two partners are also exploring how a shortage of skilled workforce in certain domains can be resolved. Ather Energy currently has 350 dealers across the country and will be looking to expand its footprint in the coming months, the firm said. The interface will also track the operational efficiency of different functions using AI-powered platforms.

New York State plummeted this month by the most in nearly two years, a survey showed on Monday, with new orders falling sharply and input prices climbing at the fastest rate in more than two years in the latest sign the economy may be weakening, as per a report. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York said its Empire State manufacturing index plunged by nearly 26 points — the largest drop since May 2023 — to a reading of negative 20.0 from positive 5.7 in February, Reuters reported. The reading was lower than all 26 forecasts in a Reuters poll of economists, which had a median expectation of minus 1.50. «New orders and shipments declined,» the report said. «Input prices increased at the fastest pace in more than two years, and selling price increases also continued to pick up. Optimism about the outlook waned considerably for a second consecutive month.» It was the latest survey to paint a picture of a weakening factory sector struggling to adjust to President Donald Trump's roll-out of tariffs on a rapidly widening range of imported goods. Trump on Monday repeated his threat that more tariffs are coming in early April, and he reiterated that he had no intention of granting exemptions for the hefty levies on steel and aluminum imports that went into effect last week.

National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) has been extended to December this year. It was initiated in April 2015 by the Government of India with a budget outlay of Rs. 4,500 crore for seven years initially. Supercomputing systems under NSM have supported research in critical domains such as drug discovery, disaster management, energy security, climate modelling, astronomical research, computational chemistry, fluid dynamics, and material research. India is negotiating free trade agreement (FTA) with the UK, Canada, and the EU, targeting sectors like services, digital trade, and sustainable development. “The shift towards regional supply chains and the impact of geopolitical changes, such as the US tariff war are influencing India’s FTA strategies to ensure alignment with global trade dynamics,” it said.

Tata Motors announced on Monday a price increase of up to 2% across its entire commercial vehicle range, effective from 1st April 2025. The decision comes as a response to the rising input costs, which have been affecting the automotive industry globally. The price hike will be model and variant-specific, meaning the exact increase will vary depending on the vehicle. «Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, today announced a price increase of up to 2%, across its commercial vehicle range, effective 1st April 2025. The price increase is to offset the rise in input costs, and will vary as per individual model and variant,» the company said in an exchange filing.

Zydus Lifesciences shares surged nearly 2% to Rs 899.40 on the BSE on Monday after the company received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture Eluxadoline Tablets (75 mg and 100 mg). Eluxadoline, a mu-opioid receptor agonist, is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) in adults. The tablets will be manufactured at Zydus Lifesciences' SEZ facility in Ahmedabad, the company said in an exchange filing.

Apple will be exporting from India, with shipments of two models starting from April in small quantities, with a ramp up expected in the next 3-4 months, industry executives aware of the matter told ET. Apple’s contract manufacturer Foxconn is assembling AirPods at its new Hyderabad facility. Foxconn had announced an investment of $400 million to set up the factory in August 2023. “Apple is making small quantities of the base AirPods models — AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 (with Active Noise Cancellation) for exports to markets like the United States, Europe and others from the Foxconn facility at Hyderabad,” said an industry executive aware of the matter.

The New Jersey-based Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc is recalling 9,840 bottles of Morphine Sulfate extended-release tablets for «Failed Dissolution Specifications», the US health regulator stated in its latest Enforcement Report. The company initiated the Class II nationwide (US) recall on February 6, 2025. USFDA stated that Zydus Pharmaceuticals (USA) Inc is recalling a lot of Nelarabine Injection, used in the treatment of certain cancers, in the US.
