Manufacturing Parke electronic ADB retains India's growth forecast at 6.4% for current FY
ADB) Wednesday retained India's economic growth forecast at 6.4% for FY24, on the back of recovery in consumption demand in both rural and urban areas, but said suppressed exports due to global slowdown will be a drag. The Indian economy grew 7.2% in 2022-23. In an update to its Asian Development Outlook (ADO), ADB lowered its inflation projection for current fiscal year (FY24) at 4.9%, from 5% pegged in April, on softening crude oil prices, even though it estimated core inflation to remain «stubbornly high».

Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against Italian fashion design brand Valentino, its billionaire founder Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani and some officials, based on a complaint filed on behalf of an Indian-American fashion designer, on the directions of a metropolitan magistrate. The magistrate on July 7 directed the police (Matunga police station) to register an FIR, saying a perusal of the complaint and documents annexed by the complainant reveals that «the cognisable offence has been committed by the proposed accused».

₹5.88 crore, compared to a profit of ₹46.3 crore in the corresponding period last year. The Aditya Birla Group company's revenue from operations for the first quarter in current fiscal stood at ₹1,117.3 crore, registering a decline of 6.1 per cent, compared to ₹1,189.8 crore in the year-ago period.  The textile and paper manufacturer's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) in the June quarter came in at ₹126.3 crore, reporting a decline of 9.2 per cent, compared to ₹139 crore in the same quarter last year.
