Dodla Dairy, E2E Networks, Texmaco Infra, Jagran Prakashan and Tokyo Plast Int, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE. Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 146.0 points up at 19979.15 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

The Nifty 50 index ended 146 points or 0.74% higher to end at its record peak of 19,979. The S&P BSE Sensex surged 474 points or 0.71% and ended at 67,572. From the Sensex pack, ITC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and ICICI Bank were the top gainers, rising over 2% each.

Amid strong optimism in the market, Nifty50 just scaled the 19,900 mark, but many are eagerly awaiting the next big target — the magical 20,000 figure. In just 15 sessions, the NSE flagship index has rallied nearly 900 points from the 19,000 level, hit on June 28, on strong global market cues, signs of an end to the US Federal Reserve's rate tightening cycle, and most importantly, strong foreign investor inflows. The ongoing earnings season on Dalal Street is also lending support to the bulls.

Reliance Industries (RIL) gave benchmark index Nifty 50 a bonus stock, Jio Financial Services, making it the 51st candidate in the pack. Stock exchanges conducted a special pre-open session in shares of RIL between 9 AM and 9:45 AM to derive the price of Jio Financial.

Reliance Industries - Jio Financial Services Demerger: Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) share price gained over a percent after the demerger of its NBFC unit Jio Financial Services Ltd (JFSL), which was valued at ₹261.85 per share, much higher than analysts estimates. The stock exchanges conducted a special pre-opening session for the discovery of RIL share price and that of its financial arm JFSL.

Info Edge (India) Ltd. traded 0.34 per cent lower in Thursday's session at 12:45PM (IST).

Trent Ltd. traded 0.33 per cent up in Thursday's trade at 12:39PM (IST). Around 3,037 shares changed hands on the counter.

Avenue Supermarts Ltd. slipped 0.96 per cent to Rs 3670.2 in Thursday's trade as of 12:14PM (IST). It hit a high of Rs 3711.1 and low of Rs 3667.2 during the session.

SRF Ltd. traded 0.31 per cent higher in Thursday's session at 11:53AM (IST).

Indian Hotels Company Ltd. traded 0.47 per cent up at Rs 401.95 on Thursday at around 11:37AM (IST), while the benchmark BSE Sensex declined 20.42 points to 67077.02. As many as 106,766 shares changed hands on the counter with a total value of Rs 428.0 crore.

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. gained 0.58 per cent to Rs 1839.15 in Thursday's trade as of 11:17AM (IST).

Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 1.05 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.41 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki(up 0.25 per cent) were among the top gainers. Hero MotoCorp(down 1.17 per cent), Bharat Forge(down 0.86 per cent), MRF(down 0.84 per cent), Bosch(down 0.76 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

On the BSE, Trans & Rectif(down 14.97 per cent), Cospower Engg (down 14.04 per cent), Captain Technocast(down 12.87 per cent), Krsnaa Diagnostics(down 10.75 per cent) and Gautam Gems(down 9.95 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session. In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks traded in the green, while 29 stocks traded in the red.

Tube Investments of India Ltd. traded 0.42 per cent down in Thursday's trade at 10:51AM (IST). Around 534 shares changed hands on the counter.

₹261.85 per share on the National Stock Exchange at the end of a special pre-open call auction session conducted in the capital market segment for price discovery on Thursday. This follows its demerger with Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), the share price of which fell to ₹2,580.
