Dodla Dairy, E2E Networks, Texmaco Infra, Jagran Prakashan and Tokyo Plast Int, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE. Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 146.0 points up at 19979.15 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Penta Gold, Suumaya Lifestyle, Shree Ram Proteins, Jet Airways and Atam Valves, touched their fresh 52-week lows. Overall, 36 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 14 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, ITC, Kotak Bank, ICICI Bank, Dr. Reddys and Cipla were among top gainers during the day, while RIL, Infosys, UltraTech Cem., HCL Tech and Bajaj Finserv ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 474.46 points up at 67571.9. Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Tobacco, Miscellaneous, Sugar and Glass sectors, while selling was witnessed in Banks, Diversified, Irrigation & Allied Services, Petrochemicals and Media & Entertainment sectors during the day.
