Voltas Ltd. traded 0.17 per cent up at Rs 872.3 on Thursday at around 11:31AM (IST), while the benchmark BSE Sensex declined 221.42 points to 65897.27. As many as 6,712 shares changed hands on the counter with a total value of Rs 0.59 crore.

Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. traded 1.13 per cent down at Rs 566.65 on Thursday at around 10:51AM (IST), while the benchmark BSE Sensex declined 30.91 points to 66087.78. As many as 2,998 shares changed hands on the counter with a total value of Rs 0.18 crore.

On the BSE, Diksat Transworld L(down 20.00 per cent), Cospower Engg (down 14.24 per cent), Gujarat Natural(down 11.47 per cent), Ganga Pharmaceutical(down 10.00 per cent) and Kush Industries (down 9.32 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session. In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks traded in the green, while 28 stocks traded in the red.

Varun Beverages Ltd. gained 0.19 per cent to Rs 969.0 in Thursday's trade as of 10:56AM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 974.95 and low of Rs 965.0 during the session.

GAIL (India) Ltd. gained 0.57 per cent to Rs 121.95 in Thursday's trade. It hit a high of Rs 122.65 and low of Rs 121.3 during the session.

Biocon Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 1.03 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.81 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.66 per cent) were among the top gainers. Granules India Ltd.(down 1.1 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 28.1 points down at 19688.35, while BSE Sensex was down 127.0 points at 65991.69 at the time of writing this report. In the Nifty index, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.75 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd. rose 1.8 per cent to Rs 1220.0 in Thursday's trade as of 10:05AM (IST) even as the benchmark Nifty ruled at 19691.55, down 24.9 points. The scrip had closed at Rs 1198.35 in the previous session.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. rose 2.1 per cent to Rs 305.65 in Thursday's trade. It hit an intraday high of Rs 309.8 and low of Rs 298.9, respectively, during the day.

Day trading guide for today: Following strong global market sentiments, Indian stock market bounced back after opening weak on Wednesday.Nifty 50 index finished 51 points higher at 19,716 levels whereas BSE Sensex gained 173 points and closed at 66,118 mark. However, Bank Nifty index ended 35 points lower at 44,588 mark. In broad market, small-cap index finished 0.68 per cent higher whereas mid-cap index gained 0.76 per cent.

Delta Corp and The India Cements. The F&O contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market-wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%. Traders who trade in indices do not encounter a situation of security ban. Meanwhile, the MWPL for The India Cements stood at 80.9% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 19.4 million. It was down 1% from the previous session. The MWPL for Delta Corp stood at 88.9% on Wednesday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 7.4 million.
