This is the largest and first transaction for a complete buyout of an office tower so far this year. Edelweiss Alternatives is buying this asset through its rental fund, which is currently in the process of raising Rs 5,000 crore. The 12-storey office tower, which is in north Bengaluru’s Hebbal locality along Bellary Road and Outer Ring Road (ORR), is an independent asset within an ecosystem of large integrated mixed-use development.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has approached the Jalpaiguri Circuit Bench of Calcutta High Court, requesting a name change for a lioness at Bengal Safari Park. According to the VHP's lawyer, the lioness was transferred from Tripura and given the name "Sita". The park authorities, on the other hand, have denied assigning any name to the lioness. Two lions were recently brought to the park from Tripura's Sepahijala Zoological Park, with the male lion being named "Akbar" as per VHP claims. The VHP's north Bengal unit filed the petition on February 16, and it is set to be heard on February 20 by a single bench of the court. The petitioner is seeking a name change for the lioness, stating that the current name may hurt religious sentiments. Additionally, the petition urges that no animal in any zoological park be named after gods and goddesses of any religion in the future. According to media reports, the lion and lioness, identified by their markings as IL26 and IL27 respectively, arrived at Bengali Safari Park as part of an animal exchange program. However, the park authorities have clarified that the official naming of the animals is still pending.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), has operationalized 551 MW solar capacity in Khavda, Gujarat, by supplying power to the national grid, the company said today. AGEL achieved this milestone within 12 months of commencing work on the Khavda RE (renewable energy) park, starting with the development of basic infrastructure, including roads and connectivity, and creating a self-sustaining social ecosystem. AGEL also transformed the challenging and barren terrain of the Rann of Kutch into a habitable environment for its 8,000-strong workforce. AGEL plans to develop 30 GW of renewable energy capacity at this RE park. The planned capacity is expected to be operationalized in the next five years. When completed, the Khavda RE park will be the largest renewable energy installation in the world, the company said, adding that energy from the Khavda RE park can power 16.1 million homes each year.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that the government will establish a mini food park in the West Siang district with food processing units for all produce of the entire Siang belt. Khandu declared that the Arunachal Pineapple Festival, held at Bagra for the first time as a community initiative in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh Marketing Board, will be an annual event to be organized by the state department of Horticulture. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the three-day event, Khandu appreciated the local residents under the banner of All Bagra Welfare Society for conceptualizing the festival in collaboration with the state marketing board to highlight and revive pineapple cultivation in the area. “I must congratulate the All Bagra Welfare Society for organizing this unique and novel event without relying on government funding,” he said.
