Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said there will be no trading in government securities, foreign exchange markets, money markets and rupee interest rate derivatives on September 18, 2024 as the government of Maharashtra has declared the day as a public holiday. The state government declared September 18, 2024 as a public holiday under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, of 1881. Prohibitory orders around the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in north Kolkata were extended till September 30, an officer said. The Doval-Wang meeting took place in the Russian city on the sidelines of a conclave of national security advisors of the BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) nations. «The meeting gave the two sides an opportunity to review the recent efforts towards finding an early resolution of the remaining issues along the Line of Actual Control, which will create conditions to stabilise and rebuild bilateral relations,» the MEA said.
