UPS Platform Action Boxing film stars New movies releasing on OTT streaming platforms this week: Check full list, release dates
Max, Peacock, and Hulu. We have a list of movies with their release dates on OTT streaming platforms. After a bumpy run in theaters, Kevin Costner's Western “Horizon: An American Saga” is landing Friday, August 23, on Max. Costner's three-hour epic, the first of what Costner had hoped would be a four-film series, didn't win over a lot of critics and didn't light up the box office ($29 million domestically) despite Costner's passionate belief in the project. (He put up millions of his own money for its $100 million-plus budget.) A release date for the already-completed part two was also postponed. An ensemble cast is led by Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone and Costner. George Miller’s “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” streaming now on Max, may have struggled to match the dizzying heights of 2015’s “Fury Road.” But the film, a prequel to “Fury Road,” features some extraordinary action sequences, a grand fleet of dystopian vehicles and one of the best performances of Chris Hemsworth’s career. Anya Taylor-Joy stars as young Furiosa, taking over the role played earlier by Charlize Theron.

Google Platform Software Bill Instagram social reports Gen Z users oppose social media limits: poll
American teens are against the idea of regulations that would place restrictions on their use of social media platforms, despite knowing the potential harms to mental and physical health. According to a study designed by the Stanford Deliberative Democracy Lab, more than 60% of newly registered voters in the US oppose requiring kids under age 16 to seek parental consent to use social media. More than 85% of young people think there should be no time limits on when they can receive social media notifications. Parents, lawmakers, regulators and child safety advocates have spent years pushing for rules they say will ease the risks posed by heavy use of these services. But those just reaching voting age are starting to have more influence over who represents them.

UPS Man Citizens Platform President social The fact is, jingo bells, jingo bells, jingoism all the way
jingoism is alive and kicking. This has nothing to do with the 147-word vocabulary-constrained logorrhoea of Donald Trump. Or the equally muddled manifesto of Project 2025 — a political initiative published by the Heritage Foundation that aims to promote conservative and rightwing policies to reshape the US federal government if the Orange One wins in November — which could elevate the standing of the US presidency at the expense of that nation and make some frustrated autocrats in other large democracies green with envy. Instead, it has everything to do with the steadfast rejection of that silently dissenting historical witness: fact. This is a serious problem in an age liberated by individual interpretation, PC rendering, social media influence, and compensative revisionism. In such a situation, fact is bound to be unreliable, because it stubbornly refuses to be explained, restrained, swayed, or altered. This is why fact-checking should only be invoked to contest the statement of an opponent, never to question the foundation of a belief.

markets UPS Platform economy wellness trends Trade PSU stocks face correction; new-age stocks surge as growth momentum returns: Ajay Bagga, Elyments Platforms
“Defence and railway stocks which are largely in the public sector had become very overvalued and a lot of the future execution was already factored in. So, they were due for a correction. We have seen very good results coming through and there is a growth on the top line and bottom line. But the valuations have gone into multi-year, this kind of growth continuing. So, it was quite viable that we would see some amount of consolidation, a breather for a few months and then the next leg up starts as the execution comes in,” says Ajay Bagga, Chairman, Elyments Platforms. ET Now: Because the damage was coming from the macro front, tell us that since the US recession worries cools off, US seems to be on a disinflationary path, the kind of economic data coming in, talks are about Fed taking a rate cut in September and so are the expectations building up for other central banks only. But in such a scenario, what could be the possible and, of course, this is a good news for the markets, but then I wanted to understand how would FIIs approach the emerging markets in such a scenario when rate cuts are going to take place?

Digital Platform Election Research Instagram track Features EU presses Meta on plans after disinformation tracker axed
EU on Friday formally requested that Meta detail steps it is taking on transparency after the Facebook and Instagram owner scrapped a widely-used tool for tracking disinformation online. Meta has been criticised on both sides of the Atlantic over the decision to shut down CrowdTangle — a feature considered vital by researchers tracking viral falsehoods — in a year of major election contests in the United States and elsewhere. Unavailable since August 14, CrowdTangle is to be replaced with Meta's Content Library — a technology researchers say offers nowhere near the same functionality.
