Care Hospitals Group is considering more acquisitions, as it looks to become the third largest hospital chain in India. The Hyderabad-based chain will have 5,000 beds after it completes the acquisition of Thiruvananthapuram-based KIMS Health. It is currently one of the top 5 hospitals in India in terms of bed capacity. «Currently we (Care Hospitals) are about 3,000-plus beds, KIMS has about 2,000 odd beds, so it will be a 5,000 beds entity,» Care Hospitals Group chief executive Jasdeep Singh said in an interview to ET.

Indian Navy on Wednesday received its first locally made medium altitude long endurance drones, which were contracted using emergency financial powers last year, marking the first major weapons delivery by the Adani Group. The drones will enhance surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities in the Arabian Sea, said Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar. The drones — Drishti 10 Starliner unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as Elbit Hermes 900 — have been manufactured at Hyderabad facility of Adani Defence and Aerospace which is being expanded to a manufacturing hub for missiles and UAVs.

Hero MotoCorp has officially announced the name of its upcoming leading motorcycle, naming it 'Maverick.' Amagi saw its revenue from operations rise 58% to Rs 680.5 crore in FY23, even as it cut losses significantly during the period. The company reported a 70% drop in total loss to Rs 321.2 crore during the year, from Rs 1,078.4 crore in the previous fiscal.

Evify, an electric vehicle logistics firm, said it has raised $1.3 million in funding in a pre-series A round led by venture capital firms GVFL and Piper Serica Angel Fund. Existing investors We Founder Circle and IVY Growth, along with a few angel investors, also participated in the round. Founded in 2021 by logistics expert Devrishi Arora and cleantech specialist Pragya Mittal, the company is focused on electric vehicle-based logistics to transition India's direct to consumer FMCG and ecommerce last-mile delivery to electric vehicles. The firm will use the fresh funds to expand its operations across Gujarat and product innovation. The aim is to grow the existing fleet from 400 to 4,000 electric bikes by March 2025. Currently, it is operational in Surat and Ahmedabad.

NTT Corporation has fully exited its 69.14% controlling stake in Pune-based IT consulting and services firm Nihilent Ltd selling it to the founder and promoter LC Singh. While the exact deal size was not disclosed, in mid-2022, NTT was seeking a valuation for Nihilent at around Rs 2,500 crore ($314 million then).

GANDHINAGAR : Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani on Wednesday announced a ₹2 lakh crore investment in Gujarat over the next five years, largely in setting up the world's largest clean energy project that will be visible even from space. The apples-to-airport conglomerate is building three giga factories for manufacturing solar modules, wind turbines and hydrogen electrolyzers. In Gujarat's Rann of Kutch desert, it is building the world's largest green energy park, covering 725 square kilometer.
