The Ray-Ban smart glasses launched by Meta Platforms almost two years ago have struggled to catch on with owners, many of whom appear to be using the devices infrequently, according to internal company data. Less than 10% of the Ray-Ban Stories purchased since the product’s launch in September 2021 are used actively by purchasers, according to a company document from February reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Temasek, the Singapore-headquartered global investment firm, have executed a binding agreement for the latter to invest Rs1200 crores into MEAL (Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited), the four-wheeler (4W) passenger electric vehicles company, Mahindra and Mahindra said in a filing to the stock exchanges. Temasek will invest Rs1200 crores in the form of Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) at a valuation of up to Rs 80,580 ($9.74 billion) crores resulting in Temasek’s ownership of a 1.49% to 2.97% stake in MEAL. ET had reported on the company’s fund-raising plans in its July 10 edition.

Ashwini Vaishnaw tabled the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023 in Lok Sabha on Thursday. Temasek Holdings and Mahindra & Mahindra have executed a binding agreement whereby the former will invest Rs 1,200 crore in the latter’s subsidiary Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd. Temasek will invest the money by subscribing to compulsorily convertible preference shares at a valuation of Rs 80,580 crore, M&M said in a release. This investment will result in Temasek holding a 1.49-2.97% stake in Mahindra Electric Automobile.

Temasek signed an agreement with automotive major Mahindra & Mahindra to invest Rs 1,200 crore in its passenger electric vehicles (EV) company MEAL at a valuation of $9.8 billion, the company said in a stock exchange notification on Thursday. Temasek will join British International Investments (BII) as an investor in MEAL, the company said in a statement. The policy, rolled out in July, gives 26 weeks of leave for the primary caregiver, who will also be entitled to another 26 weeks of extended leave on an unpaid basis, or flexible working for the same amount of time. Secondary caregivers will be given a month of leave which the employee can take in tranches across one year, depending on the need. “We are moving away from the traditional definitions of maternity and paternity leave, and are recognising that a child can come into a family by a variety of means and scenarios. Our new policy gives leave for primary and secondary caregivers,” said Amit Sharma, vice-president and head of people and culture, Volvo Group India. The programme also focuses on breaking the bias to challenge stereotypes with the help of a gender-inclusive leave policy. The company has also rolled out platforms for parents to share and connect with other employees irrespective of sexual orientation or gender. “The new policy reflects the changing dynamics of the modern family, and will also allow fathers more time for taking on responsibilities. The initiative is part of our commitment towards building a more family-friendly and inclusive workplace,” Sharma told ET.
