New Delhi: Union minister Jitendra Singh on Friday said that India has the potential to become a green hydrogen exporter. Speaking at the International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2023, Singh highlighted the launch of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, which reflects India’s determination to address the challenges of decarbonization on its path to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070. Jitendra Singh emphasized India’s strong position as a global leader in Green Hydrogen production.

New Delhi: India has set an ambitious target to produce 5 million metric tonne of green hydrogen by 2030, with 70% allocated for exports and the remaining 30% for domestic consumption, said Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Secretary, ministry of new and renewable energy. The announcement was made during a press conference held alongside the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2023) to discuss India’s commitment to the development and deployment of green hydrogen.
