Canadian politicians condemn ‘anti-Semitism’, ‘anarchy’ at Montreal protests
NATO, pro-Palestinian protests in Montreal Friday evening.Prime Minister Justin Trudeau posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that “acts of anti-Semitism, intimidation and violence must be condemned,” and that the RCMP is in touch with Montreal Police. The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) told Global News officers arrested three people on Friday after protestors smashed windows at a convention centre and nearby businesses, ignited smoke bombs and set two cars on fire.A police spokesperson said one civilian and one police officer suffered minor injuries.SPVM Chief Fady Dagher told reporters Saturday evening that he expects more arrests as alleged perpetrators are identified.“We have a lot of investigation techniques showing us some faces, some details, so we’re going to be able to arrest more people in the next days or next weeks,” he said.Multiple social media posts appear to show hundreds of people marching Friday evening and one person burning an effigy with “(Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu to The Hague” written on it.The International Criminal Court just issued a warrant for Netanyahu and is based in The Hague in the Netherlands.“This was nothing like lawful, peaceful protest. This was anarchy,” Defence Minister Bill Blair said, speaking in Halifax.Foreign affairs Minister Mélanie Joly added, “What we saw was not peaceful protest.

Supriya Sule should apologise for fielding Yugendra against Ajit Pawar in Baramati: NCP
Supriya Sule should apologise for her party fielding Yugendra Pawar against his uncle and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the Baramati assembly seat. NCP president Ajit Pawar won from his traditional Baramati constituency, defeating his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra by more than one lakh votes. The high-stakes contest was seen as a battle between the 65-year-old politician and his uncle, Sharad Pawar (83). Talking to reporters, NCP spokesperson Amol Mitkari said NCP (SP) leader Sule must apologise for fielding Yugendra against his uncle, just as Ajit Pawar had expressed his regret for fielding his wife Sunetra against her in the Lok Sabha elections earlier this year. Ajit Pawar, who parted ways with his uncle last year and was seeking an eighth term from this seat in Pune district, polled 1,81,132 votes while Yugendra polled 80,233.

Did Prince Harry lie on his visa application? Lawyer claims his future in U.S uncertain and he may be deported; here's the reason
Prince Harry's residency status in the United States is currently under scrutiny, his admission of his past battles with substance abuse continues to provoke controversy. Prominent immigration attorneys claim that Harry's admission of drug use may have compromised his eligibility for a visa because he would have needed to disclose it on his application, which could result in deportation proceedings following the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, as quoted in a report by the Blast. Donald Trump and Prince Harry don't get along well; the billionaire politician claimed that he wouldn't protect the duke if he were elected to a second term because he betrayed the Queen.

Regional imbalances in Bengal led to disconnect between govt and people: Governor Bose
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose drew upon his grassroots experiences to highlight «regional imbalances» between the state's northern and southern districts and claimed that lack of prosperity in the former region has led to a «disconnect» between the state government and its people. Speaking exclusively to PTI about various issues, Bose refrained from evaluating his constitutional colleague, Mamata Banerjee, but made it clear that he was «more concerned» about her performance as Chief Minister than as a politician. Expressing satisfaction with his tenure in office so far, Bose said, «These two years have taught me many positive things. It is a very refined state, which gives a lot of emphasis on art and culture.»

Defeat Ajit's faction in a 'big' way: Sharad Pawar to voters
Sharad Pawar has cautioned his detractors that they should mess with anyone but him and appealed to voters to not just defeat those who rebelled under Ajit Pawar, but «defeat them big» in the Maharashtra assembly polls. Addressing a rally at Madha in Solapur district on Sunday ahead of the November 20 state polls, Sharad Pawar recounted an episode of defection that led to him losing the post of leader of opposition in the assembly almost five decades ago and his resolve that led to the defeat of all those who had backstabbed him. «In the elections of 1980, 58 persons won polls from our party and I became leader of opposition. I had gone abroad and when I came back I realised Chief Minister AR Antulay saheb had done some miracle and 52 of the 58 MLAs had switched sides. I lost the post of LoP,» he said. «I did nothing (at the time). I just started reaching out to people across the state and worked hard for three years. In the next elections, I fielded young candidates against all 52 MLAs who had left me. I am proud of the people of Maharashtra that all 52 who left me were defeated,» he told the gathering.

Is it safe? Meet Captain Savita Singh who’s shattering stereotypes as ministers make promises to ladkis & bahins
Captain Savita Singh, likely India’s only woman helicopter pilot engaged in election campaign flying, has been at the controls, landing in places like Shegaon, Parli, Dharni, and Khamgaon, where politicians deliver speeches centered on government schemes like the Ladki Bahin program, aimed at empowering women. “Yes, there is a definite element of surprise, even shock, when the crowds see a woman pilot step out of the cockpit,” Capt. Singh, a 51-year-old former Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot who now serves as a pilot-in-command on an Agusta 109P, told ToI. With 17 years of civil aviation experience under her belt—first with Pawan Hans and now as a charter operator—Singh is no stranger to navigating the demanding world of political campaign flights. Having logged over 7,000 hours in the skies, she recounts the reactions of her high-profile passengers when they see her in the cockpit. Often, she says, politicians respond with surprise, even bemusement.
