Single-dose HPV jab is enough to prevent cervical cancer, Indian study finds
New Delhi: A single-dose human papillomavirus vaccination (HPV), especially given to adolescent girls in the age group of 10-14 years, can help prevent cervical cancer, says a new study published in the journal Human Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics. The study, conducted at hospitals across India, found that 10 years after vaccination, a high proportion of single- dose recipients still had antibody titers against HPV types 16 and 18 with the proportion being slightly higher among 10-14-year-olds than those aged 15-18.

Mint Primer: What if someone uses ChatGPT for military work?
Until recently, OpenAI wouldn’t allow its models to be used for activity that had “high risk of physical harm, including weapons development, military and warfare." Now it has removed the words ‘military’ and ‘warfare’. Is this a routine update, or should we be worried? Until recently, OpenAI had explicitly banned the use of its models for weapons development and military and warfare.

Community Driven Content in Web3: Hype or the Next Big Trend?
One of the big selling points of the Web3/Crypto movement is that of decentralization. This can mean different things to different people, with some focusing on the security benefits of avoiding threats from within, others focusing on the trustless aspects that allow strangers to work together from across the world, and others focused on the benefits of a DAO that gives collective direction to the platform’s future. However, there is one other selling point that can be overlooked in Web3: Community Driven Content.

Charging Israel with genocide makes a mockery of the ICJ
crime. Not because it is the bloodiest: Stalin and Mao killed many more people in gulags and famines than the nearly 6m Jews murdered by the Nazis. But the Holocaust was seen as so monstrous that the UN adopted the Genocide Convention, promising never again to allow an attempt to wipe out a group of people, or part of one, simply because of their nationality, race, religion or ethnicity.
