reality is many people are annoyed by my rise and believe that a 38-year-old is too young to be US President. The fact of the matter is Thomas Jefferson was 33 years old when he wrote the US Declaration of Independence. He also invented the swivel chair while he was at it, by the way," he asserted.

Carlos Sainz wins thrilling Singapore Grand Prix as Verstappen and Red Bull's streaks end
Runaway standings leader Max Verstappen’s winning run ended at 10 races and Red Bull’s at 15 — both F1 records — as Carlos Sainz Jr. won the Singapore Grand Prix for Ferrari on Sunday. Red Bull dreamed of winning every race this year but had Verstappen fifth and Perez eighth after struggling all weekend in Singapore. Sainz started on pole position and held on with badly worn tires over several tense final laps for his second career win in F1 ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris and the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. It was a four-car fight for the win before George Russell crashed the other Mercedes on the final lap from third position to promote Hamilton to the podium. “I felt under control. I felt like I could manage well and we brought it home. That was the best feeling,” Sainz said after celebrating with his team as fireworks lit up the Singapore circuit.

White House aspirant Vivek Ramaswamy vows to end H-1B visa programme, calls it 'indentured servitude'
H-1B visa programme as a form of «indentured servitude», Indian-American Republican presidential aspirant Vivek Ramaswamy has vowed to “gut” the lottery-based system and replace it with meritocratic admission if he wins the race to the White House in 2024. The H-1B visa, much sought-after among Indian IT professionals, is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to employ foreign workers in speciality occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise. Technology companies depend on it to hire tens of thousands of employees each year from countries like India and China. Ramaswamy himself has used the H-1B visa programme 29 times. From 2018 through 2023, US Citizenship and Immigration Services approved 29 applications for Ramaswamy's former company, Roivant Sciences, to hire employees under H-1B visas, the Politico reported.

WHO chief pushes China for 'full access' to determine COVID's origins: Financial Times
World Health Organization urged Beijing to offer more information on the origins of COVID-19 and is ready to send a second team to probe the matter, the Financial Times reported on Sunday. «We're pressing China to give full access, and we are asking countries to raise it during their bilateral meetings — to urge Beijing to co-operate,» WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told the newspaper. The WHO chief's comments come as health authorities and pharmaceutical companies across the world have been racing to update vaccines to combat newer emerging coronavirus variants. Ghebreyesus has for long been pressing China to share its information about the origins of COVID-19, saying that until that happened all hypotheses remained on the table. The virus was first identified in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019, with many suspecting it spread in a live animal market before fanning out around the world and killing nearly 7 million people.

Hasan Minhaj admits to fake stand-up stories, like daughter’s anthrax scare; comedian says he only exaggerates
Hasan Minhaj has confessed to making up tales for his stand-up acts, including some personal experiences like his daughter's anthrax scare, which was fake. The American stand-up comedian admitted to The New Yorker that he had fabricated certain details in some of his stand-up specials, like Netflix's The King's Jester in 2022. The comedian is a former host on Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj (now on Netflix) and a temporary guest and correspondent on The Daily Show. Here's what the stand-up said about his stories being created. “Every story in my style is built around a seed of truth. My comedy (is like an) Arnold Palmer (drink that) is 70% emotional truth — this happened — and then 30% hyperbole, exaggeration, fiction,” Minhaj said.
