IFC loans Morocco's OCP $106 million to build two solar power plants
MARRAKECH, (Reuters) — Morocco's state-owned phosphates and fertiliser producer OCP said on Tuesday it had signed an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank's investment arm, on a 100 million-euro ($106 million) loan to build two solar plants to increase production of low-carbon fertilizers.

‘Aditya-L1 on its way to Sun-Earth L1’, ISRO shares latest update on India's solar mission
Aditya-L1 spacecraft performed the Trajectory Correction Maneuver (TCM) on October 6 for about 16 seconds and now it is on its way to Sun-Earth L1. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), ISRO said, “The Spacecraft is healthy and on its way to Sun-Earth L1. A Trajectory Correction Maneuver (TCM), originally provisioned, was performed on October 6 for about 16 seconds." “It was needed to correct the trajectory evaluated after tracking the Trans-Lagrangean Point 1 Insertion (TL1I) maneuver performed on September 19.

Tata Power Renewable Energy to set up 41 MW captive solar plant for TP Solar
Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, will set up a 41 MW captive solar plant at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu for TP Solar’s new greenfield 4.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility located at Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The captive plant will help generate 101 million units of electricity and offset around 72,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. The solar project will be commissioned 12 months from the signing of the Project Development Agreement (PDA). TPREL has established TP Govardhan Creatives Limited, a specialized entity entrusted with the development, operation, and upkeep of this facility for TP Solar Ltd. TP Solar’s manufacturing plant is expected to start commercial production of cells and modules by FY 24-25.

NEW DELHI : Three large bidders have entered the last lap for acquiring solar projects totalling 350 megawatts (MW) from O2 Power, promoted by Singapore’s Temasek and European alternative asset manager EQT, two people close to the development said. These include Gentari Sdn Bhd, a unit of Malaysia’s state-run oil and gas company Petroliam Nasional Bhd; Edelweiss Infrastructure Yield Plus Fund’s Sekura Energy Ltd; and private equity firm Actis Llp, the people said on condition of anonymity. The transaction, having an equity and enterprise value of $50 million and $200 million, respectively, is being managed by EY, with these three bidders shortlisted from around a dozen non-binding offers (NBOs) that were submitted.
