Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer': A brilliantly haunting ending that defies biopic convention
Oppenheimer," has captivated audiences with its brilliance, combining blockbuster elements with a poignant historical narrative. At its heart is a harrowing ending that leaves a lasting impact on viewers, defying traditional biopic conventions. Spoilers Ahead! Before delving into the ending's brilliance, a warning for those who haven't experienced «Oppenheimer» yet—spoilers lie ahead. Throughout the film, a seemingly insignificant meeting between J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) and Albert Einstein (Tom Conti) becomes a pivotal moment. Viewed from Admiral Lewis Strauss's (Robert Downey Jr.) perspective, the encounter sparks intrigue, leading him to obsess over its content. The film's unique structure brings clarity to this meeting's significance in the ending. Oppenheimer confesses to Einstein that he believes his work on inventing the atomic bomb has doomed the world. Nightmarish visions of nuclear Armageddon unfold, leaving a haunting impact. Nolan masterfully weaves two distinct storylines—Fission in color, focusing on Oppenheimer's life, and Fusion in black and white, centered around Lewis Strauss's confirmation hearings. Scenes, like the Princeton conversation, are revisited with differing perspectives, adding depth to the narrative.

Dead EV batteries turn to gold with U.S. incentives
U.S. Inflation Reduction Act has companies scrambling to recycle electric vehicle batteries in North America, putting the region at the forefront of a global race to undermine China's dominance of the field. The IRA includes a clause that automatically qualifies EV battery materials recycled in the U.S. as American-made for subsidies, regardless of their origin. That is important because it qualifies automakers using U.S.-recycled battery materials for EV production incentives. Reuters interviewed more than a dozen industry officials and experts who say that is kicking off a U.S. factory building boom, encouraging automakers to research more recyclable batteries, and could eventually make it harder for buyers in developing countries to buy old used EVs.

When and why International Friendship Day is celebrated?
International Friendship Day is celebrated across the world on July 30 every year. It is marked as a day for forging friendship between different communities and sinks their differences so that we live in a better world. United Nations General Assembly designed it. U.N.’s motive was to encourage organizations, social groups, communities, and governments to coordinate and organize events for celebrating friendship. Most of these events are marked to increase reconciliation, understanding, and cooperation. The basic concept behind International Friendship Day is to unite the people and convince them that people should not be separated on the basis of caste, creed, religion, ethnicity, race, language, political beliefs, or philosophy. Common grounds can be found despite all kinds of differences. Friendship Day can be celebrated by as simple things as a coffee hangout, concert, small party, going to malls, or simply sitting and eating with friends. These simple things underline the need of uniting people across the spectrum. An international civil organization World Friendship Crusade was the first to propose International Friendship Day in 1958. In India, it is celebrated on the first Sunday in the month of August. In Spain, it is July 20, In Bolivia, it is July 23 and in Finland, it is February 14.
