Aviat Airlines audience information reports Department recommendations Arun Shourie was probably right on Jet Airways' Naresh Goyal
quoted by others such as Sucheta Dalal: “Shourie then read out the recommendations of several parliamentarians, as well as those of the Standing Committee of Parliament. Lo and behold, they were the same as FICCI's, right down to the etceteras." Shourie asked his audience if it was a case of “Great minds that think alike? Or one great mind that was making everyone think alike?" Clearly it was the latter--Shourie informed the audience that FICCI’s aviation committee was chaired by none other than Naresh Goyal of Jet Airways, who had a vested interest in ensuring that foreign airlines did not control Air India (probably because it could result in serious competition for Jet). Shourie later narrated the incident in Parliament, when he also referred to Goyal as the “so-called" owner of Jet Airways.

Target WhatsApp Experts beautiful reports recommendations Nykaa shares rally 5% ahead of Q2 results
The stock, which has advanced 13% in the last six months, is still trading around 34% below its 52-week high level of Rs 224.65. In Q2, the new-age company is expected to report a double-digit year-on-year (YoY) growth in revenue for the September quarter, driven primarily by the beauty and personal care and fashion segments, which are seen growing 21-31%. Nuvama Institutional Equities expects overall gross merchandise value growth of 25% YoY for the Nykaa brand owner. The industry estimates indicated slightly subdued discretionary consumption, primarily on account of a delayed festive season, but Nykaa on the contrary, has witnessed a strong quarter across all verticals, analysts said. Kotak Institutional Equities expects an improvement in the operating margin to 5.9% (up 90/70 bps yoy/qoq), driven by positive operating leverage. After having faced investor wrath in 2022, most new-age companies are seeing a turnaround in 2023 with the likes of Zomato and Paytm leading the way. Zomato, whose shares have already crossed past the listing price of Rs 115, surprised Street by reporting food delivery GOV growth at 20/9% YoY/QoQ. «Unit economics to steadily improve with scale as Zomato unlocks cost efficiencies and as customer willingness to pay for convenience increases. Aware recommendations United States to make amended H-1Bs mandatory for employees moving from one job site to another
H-1B visa system, the United States will also codify the requirement of an amended petition in case of a change in the H-1B worker's workplace. This move comes after a prior ruling from the US Court of Appeals in the District of Columbia, reiterating the need for sponsoring employers to submit an amended H-1B petition to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) when a foreign employee relocates within the United States. In July 2015, the USCIS issued a policy memorandum, based on a decision by the Administrative Appeals Office in a specific case. According to the memorandum, a foreign employee's relocation from one domestic location to another constituted a 'material change' and demanded the submission of an amended H-1B visa application. This policy faced legal challenges, but the courts upheld the requirement. The newly proposed changes will formalize this obligation. Now, employers will need to submit a new Labour Condition Application (LCA) and a new H-1B petition before the location change occurs. Failing to do so may lead to the H-1B worker being considered in violation of their visa status. It's essential to be aware that these changes will result in additional costs for the sponsoring employer. However, when the job location change happens within the same area of intended employment, this requirement does not apply. These changes aim to ensure compliance with the H-1B visa program, particularly regarding the employment locations of visa holders.

What is fueling the fall – is it the combination of a rise in US Yields and geopolitical concerns? The Sensex and Nifty have seen a notable correction lately, which seems a bit out of place considering India's strong growth narrative.

Provident Digital JPMorgan Strategy Experts stage recommendations private wealth Expected downward shift in yield curve warrants higher allocation towards bonds: Motilal Oswal Private Wealth
The inclusion of India into the JPMorgan Global bond index and expectations of rate cuts from the first half of FY25 is set to put a cap on bond yields in the domestic market over the medium term. A downward shift in India’s yield curve will thereby make the bond market attractive, and pave the way for increased allocation towards debt in the portfolio, believes Jayesh Faria, director — regional head — west at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth. “We are requesting our clients to participate 65-70% of their debt portfolio in high quality roll down strategies with 7-12 years average maturity. The remaining 35-40% through high yields NCD or private credit or REITs & InVITs,” Faria said in an interview with ETMarkets. Edited excerpts: The equity market has lost some momentum, but would you still say that India is in a stage of a strong bull market phase? We feel that India is in a structural bull market due to improvement in earnings of our companies. For three consecutive years now, Nifty 50 earnings have grown by double digits. For FY24, estimates for Nifty earnings are of 22% growth. Therefore, we feel earnings growth is expected to remain steady over the next few years.
