Breakout Stocks: How Prestige Estates, Bharti Airtel and Escorts are looking on charts for Wednesday’s trade
Sectorally, buying was seen in realty, metal, telecom, public sector, and banking stocks. Stocks that were in focus on Tuesday include names like Prestige Estates (up nearly 10%), Bharti Airtel (that rose nearly 3%) and Escorts Kubota (that closed with over 6% gains to a fresh all-time high). We have collated a list of three stocks that either hit a fresh 52-week high, or all-time high or saw a volume or a price breakout. We spoke to an analyst on how one should look at these stocks the next trading day entirely from an educational point of view: Analyst: Kush Ghodasara, CMT, SEBI RA: INH000002137 Bharti Airtel Data is the new gold, and we could notice that Bharti Airtel’s chart which is trending on the upside channel shows strong momentum in the near future. Indicators are in the overbought zone, but internal crossover has signalled a future upside. On Tuesday, the stock took support exactly at 5–10-day average and moved with volume confirming momentum. We could test Rs 985 at the resistance level above which we could get to the Rs 1050 mark while the stop loss can be placed at Rs 924. Prestige Estates The stock has been trading in an upside channel for the last few months and the momentum has been strong.

World Bank suggests taxes on agriculture, real estate and retail sectors to infuse Rs 3 trillion in Pakistan, say reports
The World Bank has suggested closing all tax exemptions and bringing agriculture, retail, and real estate under a tax bracket that can fetch three per cent of GDP in the cash-strapped Pakistan's kitty, media reports said on Tuesday. “The people in two major areas in the provincial jurisdiction — real estate and agriculture — had most of the untaxed wealth, which should be taxed by the provincial governments to be able to improve services and reduce the financial burden on the centre, which was financing these services,” newspaper Dawn quoted WB's Country Director Najy Benhassine and senior economist Tobias Haque as saying. The lender has projected that if agriculture income and properties tax is enforced properly then it could fetch three per cent of GDP in the tax collection on an annual basis, equivalent to slightly over Rs 3 trillion, the Dawn newspaper quoted Haque as saying. He said real estate and agriculture should yield revenue of two per cent and one per cent, respectively, of the GDP (or about Rs 2.1 trillion and Rs 1 trillion, respectively, according to official GDP size). Referring to a detailed policy paper that the World Bank has submitted to the Pakistan government, Haque said, the paper “advocates increasing revenues through improved, expanded and progressive agriculture income taxation.” “This should be done immediately to reduce or refine the current 12.5-acre tax exemption threshold to bring more agricultural land into the tax net and ensure appropriate categorisation of land on the basis of size, location, irrigation status and area-based productivity aspects into tax rates,” the World Bank official was quoted as saying. Newspaper The News International said the World Bank is also expecting the

Bullish on 7 stocks in banking and auto sector: Rahul Shah, MOFSL
Rahul Shah, V-P, Equity Advisory, MOFSL, says “it looks like markets will continue to do well. It does not look like a sell-off is imminent. Maybe, the market will shed 4-5% and then stabilise there and again, build it back to the game. We should continue to hold on with this opportunity and in a sell-off, one should participate.” From a financial market standpoint, is it time to move on? We see a lot of concerns going on globally. From India’s perspective, there are two-three things. The markets are still trading at reasonable valuations. Midcaps and smallcaps valuations are rich and largecaps have underperformed. From the overall market perspective, there’s no big negative. Also, it looks like it will be a good earnings season. My sense is largecap stocks will outperform midcaps and smallcaps might take a breather, but whenever we see the largecaps performing, midcaps and small caps also rally. But after the midcap and smallcap rally, It is time for the largecaps. Usually in an election year, just before the elections, the last 20-25 years’ data suggests that markets have rallied between 10% and 32%,.
