The strong listing can be attributed to the company’s improving financial performance in the recent past, wherein revenues grew at a CAGR of 35% during the FY21-23 period. «Further, the paracetamol API industry is expected to clock a 5-7% CAGR between FY23 and FY27,» said analysts, while suggesting investors can hold the stock for the long term if they wish to. «With strong operational efficiencies, Valiant Laboratories has demonstrated high ROCE, positive operating cash flows, strong balance sheet, pursued growth opportunities and better managed unanticipated cash flow variations which will drive the company's performance going forward,» said Prathamesh Masdekar, Research Analyst, StoxBox. «We, therefore, remain optimistic on the company and recommend investors who have received allotment to hold their shares and consider buying on dips as well from a medium to long term perspective,» Masdekar added. NEW DELHI : The petroleum ministry has increased the LPG distributors’ commission to ₹73.08 per cylinder from ₹64.84 fixed in May last year. In a letter dated 3 October, sent to the oil marketing companies (OMC), the ministry, however, said that the revision in the distribution commission would not result in a revision in retail LPG prices. It said the government approved the “revision of distributor’ commission to ₹73.08 per 14.2 kg cylinder (establishment charges: ₹39.65 and delivery charges: ₹33.43) and ₹36.54 per 5.0 kg cylinder (establishment charges: ₹19.82 and delivery charges: ₹16.72)".

Karnataka Cabinet on Thursday decided to provide 33% seats for other backward classes (OBCs) in the urban local bodies and in panchayats, partly accepting a set of recommendations made by retired Justice K Bhaktavatsala Commission. Urban local body polls in Karnataka had been stuck for want of a water-tight policy on political reservation in urban local bodies and in panchayat institutions based on a set of scientific data on dominance of caste groupings in each seat. The previous BJP regime had, in May 2022, set up a Commission, under retired high court judge Justice K Bhaktavatsala, asking it to come up with a report on determining political reservations for OBCs based on empirical data on OBCs. The earlier system of political reservation was not based on empirical data, and the apex court had said states could hold local body polls only after deciding seats for OBCs based on the empirical data on their population in seats. Justice Bhaktavatsala Commission relied on the elaborate caste census data, prepared by the State Backward Classes Commission. The data, part of a comprehensive report, however, is still under wraps, and the state government is awaiting clarity from the Congress high command to take a call on placing the report in public domain. Law Minister HK Patil, briefing the media about the Cabinet decision, said the Justice Bhaktavatsala Commission had made five recommendations, but the Cabinet had accepted three.
