Operation Nanhe Farishte: Central Railway’s RPF reunites 861 children with families
Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Central Railway has successfully reunited 861 children with their families as part of their ongoing efforts through “Operation Nanhe Farishte,” TOI reported. This initiative, covering the period from April 1 to October 31, has helped reunite 589 boys and 272 girls with their families. Central Railway’s chief spokesperson, Swapnil Nila, highlighted the critical role of the RPF in safeguarding railway assets, stations, and passengers. The force adheres to the Ministry of Railways’ Standard Operating Procedure for rescuing children, collaborating with various organisations to aid in child rescue missions under “Operation Nanhe Farishte.” A recent incident on November 7, 2024, demonstrated the RPF’s dedication. RPF officers Ishwar Chand Jat and R K Tripathi, while patrolling Khandwa station, noticed a young boy sitting alone on platform 4/5. Upon counselling, they found that the boy, named Sumit, had a phone number tattooed on his right arm. When they contacted the number, Sumit’s brother informed them that Sumit suffers from amnesia. After a medical evaluation, the child was placed in Navjeevan Balgrih’s care, with ChildLine representatives assisting until Sumit’s brother could arrive to take him home.

YouTuber Johnny Somali could face a 10-yr-prison sentence for kissing a statue in South Korea. Here's why
On October 9, he uploaded a video showing himself kissing the Statue of Peace in Itaewon, central Seoul, while also performing an inappropriate dance in front of the monument. The statue honors the tens of thousands of young women who were subjected to sexual slavery by the Japanese military during Korea’s occupation from 1910 to 1945. As reported by The Korea Times, Somali conveyed his remorse for his actions in a video shared by the YouTube channel Jcompany on Thursday. Standing next to the statue, Johnny bowed to the Korean audience and said, “I want to apologise to Koreans. I didn’t understand the significance of the statue.” He further explained that his intent had been to entertain his American audience, but acknowledged that his behaviour was disrespectful. Somali also added in Korean, “I’m truly sorry.”
