Citi Manufacturing security PINK Research show reports NARCL offers to buy debt of three more bankrupt companies
NARCL) has offered lenders base bids for the bad loan accounts of Hitodi Infra, Sion Panvel Tollways and Morarjee Textile with total consolidated debt of more than ₹4,000 crore. Based on binding bids from the government-backed bad bank, lenders have initiated a Swiss challenge auction for Hitodi Infra. The lenders, including Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of India, IDBI Bank and State Bank of India, have appointed BoB Capital as the process advisor. NARCL has offered ₹465 crore for the outstanding loans of ₹2,101 crore. The lenders have asked bidders to either bid in all cash or on a cash-and-security receipt basis. NARCL buys debt under a 15:85 structure where 15% is paid in cash and 85% in security receipts. The minimum markup will be 5% of the anchor bid. The Swiss auction will be held on March 26.

The Defence Minister of the Maldives Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon met with Major General Zhang Baoqun, Deputy Director of the Office for International Military Cooperation of China, to discuss enhancing defence cooperation between the two countries. Maumoon and Major General Baoqun «signed an agreement on China's provision of military assistance gratis to the Republic of Maldives, fostering stronger bilateral ties,» the Maldivian defence ministry posted on its X handle. The details of the defence cooperation agreement were not provided.

Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone for the second Ayurvedic College of Assam. Sonowal also laid foundation stones for construction of two 50 bedded Ayush hospitals at Mowamarirjhar in Kokrajhar and at Silbari in Baksa, virtually from here. The new college will be developed with an estimated cost of Rs 70 crores. The Ministry of Ayush approved the proposal for establishment of Ayurvedic College at Dudhnoi in Goalpara in 2022-23. It is to be noted that the first Ayurvedic College was established way back in 1948 in Guwahati by Bharat Ratna Lok Priya Gopinath Bordoloi. The 50 bedded Integrated Ayush hospitals will be developed with an investment of Rs 30 crores. The college will have one G+3 College building, one boy’s hostel, one girls hostel, staff quarter, principal’s quarter, among other equipment, furniture, books etc. The college, which will be adjacent to the Integrated Ayush Hospitals, inaugurated by Sarbananda Sonowal in July, 2023, will be developed in 93 bighas of land. The state PWD will be executing agency and will be completed within 30 months.
