BJP president J P Nadda on Saturday took a jibe at the opposition saying all other parties are restricted to dynasty politics, while in sharp contrast, BJP is the only party in which people coming from ordinary families can also become the prime minister of the country. Speaking at BJP's online membership drive function in Patna, Nadda said in BJP everybody has equal rights and opportunity. «All other political parties are restricted to just dynasty politics....or some parties represent certain community...BJP is the only party in which people coming from ordinary families also become the prime minister of the country like Narendra Modi Ji,» he said. «In our party...everybody has equal rights and opportunity. In other parties, you can become president only if you belong to a particular family, particular caste etc. But, BJP is the party that represents the entire society», said Nadda.

Northern California, resulting in the death of 81 animals, has pleaded not guilty to animal cruelty and other charges. Vicente Arroyo, 39, appeared in court Thursday after his arrest by Monterey County Sheriff deputies. The animals, including miniature horses, goats, and chickens, were housed in pens and cages in Prunedale. Monterey County Sheriff Commander Andres Rosas described the scene as traumatic. «I went out there, and it was a pretty traumatic scene. These were people’s pets,» he said. The animals belonged to an individual who rented the lot and the owner of the property. Arroyo allegedly used several weapons to shoot the animals. Court records indicate that Arroyo is charged with killing 14 goats, nine chickens, seven ducks, five rabbits, a guinea pig, and 33 parakeets and cockatiels. Additionally, he is charged with killing a pony named Lucky and two miniature horses named Estrella and Princessa, according to KSBW-TV.

Delhi government has proposed a compensation of Rs 7.5 lakh for the families of prisoners who die due to unnatural causes while in custody in the city's jails. According to a statement, the proposal, aimed at addressing grievances and upholding human rights within the prison system, has been submitted to the lieutenant governor for approval. «Unnatural custodial deaths, as defined by the policy, may occur due to incidents such as quarrels between inmates, mistreatment or torture by prison staff, or negligence by medical officers,» the statement said. However, the compensation will not apply in cases of death by suicide, escape attempts, natural causes or disasters.
