Narendra Modi has become worried after learning that the Congress had been ahead in the first two phases of polls, AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge said on Monday, while adding that the PM was attacking the Congress by referring to things the party never said in its manifesto. Neither the Indian Constitution nor the Congress election manifesto said all wealth would be distributed to Muslims, but Modi was saying so in sheer frustration after learning about the Congress party’s leads in the first two phases, the AICC president said, addressing rallies at Sedam, Gurmitkal and Kamalapur. The three assembly segments are part of Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) Lok Sabha seat his son-in-law Radhakrishna Doddamani was contesting from. Kalaburagi is one of the 14 constituencies in Karnataka that are going to polls on May 7. The Congress has only said the poor would get their due share and there was no mention of Hindus or Muslims in the manifesto. The Congress party, since the time of Indira Gandhi, had worked for the upliftment of poor people and battled poverty. Land reforms, bank nationalisation and programmes like NREGA, and Food Security Act were an outcome of the Congress initiatives, the 81-year old AICC leader said, wondering if Modi could claim credit for any such programme.

Jana Small Finance Bank has reported doubled its March quarter net profit from ordinary activities at Rs 167 crore against Rs 81 crore in the year ago period, backed by robust business expansion and lower credit cost. The net profit however comes to Rs 344 crore, reflecting a four-fold jump, if the deferred tax assets of Rs 170 crore is included.

BSE shares was brought to a screeching halt on Monday after market regulator Sebi asked the bourse to pay regulatory fee based on notional turnover and not premium turnover. Preliminary calculations done by the stock exchange shows that it could lead to an additional payout of Rs 165 crore plus GST. Based on the annual turnover considering notional value of option contracts, the total differential Sebi regulatory fees from FY 2006-07 to FY 2022-23, would be approximately Rs 68.64 crore plus GST, which includes interest of Rs 30.34 crore. For FY24, the differential Sebi regulatory fees for the year could be around Rs 96.30 crore plus GST.

Thai authorities recently cracked down on a crypto mining operation suspected of stealing electricity. The raid in Samut Sakhon and Ratchaburi netted over 650 mining devices valued at more than 200m baht (about $5m).

Supreme Industries share price: Shares of Supreme Industries continued witnessing strong buying interest on Monday, April 29, as the stock jumped over 8 per cent in morning trade on BSE, buoyed by the company's healthy March quarter result. Supreme Industries share price opened at ₹4,430.55 against its previous close of ₹4402.30 and rose over 8 per cent to hit the day's high of ₹4,758.85 in Monday's trade so far. Around 11:30 am, Supreme Industries share price traded 7.88 per cent higher at ₹4,749 apiece.

Ircon International shares surged over 6% to Rs 266.9 on BSE following the announcement of a significant order win worth Rs 1,198 crore by its joint venture. «Ircon International Limited (IRCON) under its Joint Venture with Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Pvt Ltd (DRA) i.e. Ircon-DRA JV has been awarded the LOA for the construction of Kottavalasa-Koraput Doubling Project from Km 45.483 to Km 72.550 from Shivalingapuram Station to Borraguhalu Station in connection with Kottavalasa Koraput Doubling Project of Waltair Division, East Coast Railway on EPC mode at a quoted bid price of Rs 1198.09 Crores,» the company said in an exchange filing.

BSE tumbled 19% to Rs 2,612 in Monday's trade on NSE after the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) asked BSE to pay a regulatory fee to the former based on the annual turnover fee considering «notional value» in the case of the options contract. This is the biggest single-day drop the stock has seen since its listing in 2017. BSE in its filing to the exchanges on Friday stated that the regulator has also asked the company to pay a differential regulatory fee for the past periods with the applicable interest of 15% per annum on the amount remaining unpaid or belatedly paid or short paid for every month of delay.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. gained 2.39 per cent to Rs 149.45 in Monday's trade as of 10:15AM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 151.2 and low of Rs 146.5 during the session. The Tesla boss has managed to get a key clearance from China that will be a big shot in the arm for the behemoth EV maker's efforts to resurrect declining sales and win trust in China where their own automakers such as BYD have threatened Tesla's dominance. Tesla's cars made in China passed key data security and privacy requirement in China, handing Musk a major win who visited Beijing to seek approval to introduce driver-assistance software. This is according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. Before, some places in China banned Tesla cars because they were worried about how they collected data. Meanwhile, Reuters reported citing sources that Baidu, a prominent Chinese internet search company, has reportedly struck a deal with Tesla, allowing the car manufacturer access to its mapping license for gathering data on public roads in China.
