Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror module was busted on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district with the arrest of four militant associates, police said. Security forces arrested four terrorist associates and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in the south Kashmir district, a police spokesman said. The arrests were made in connection with case FIR no. 14/2024 registered under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The spokesman identified the arrested as Zahoor Ahmad Pandit, Basir Hussain Pandit, Imtiyaz Gull, and Gulzar Ahmad Khar, all residents of Wanpora.

Amarinder Singh on Sunday condemned the Haryana Police for the "barbaric act of violence" against a farmer who was injured during the ongoing farm protest at the Khanauri border. Nafe Singh Rathee, the chief of Haryana's Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), was fatally shot while traveling in an SUV with a party worker on Sunday. Opposition parties have blamed BJP-led Haryana government for the incident. INLD has demanded the resignation of Haryana's Chief Minister and Home Minister, alongside a CBI investigation into the incident. Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has directed officials to promptly address this issue and a Special Task Force (STF) has been mobilized to investigate the incident. Speaking on the incident, Jhajjar SP Arpit Jain said that the accused will be arrested soon.

United States said Sunday that multinational talks in Paris came to an «understanding» on a possible deal for Hamas to release hostages and for a new ceasefire in the Gaza war. An Israeli delegation led by Mossad chief David Barnea was in the French capital on Friday to discuss a deal to ensure a fresh ceasefire and the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

GST Council is likely to soon clarify that Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) will not be required to pay Goods and Services Tax (GST), an official said. According to the official, RERA, which functions as a regulator as well as facilitator for the realty sector, is covered under Article 243G of the Constitution dealing with powers, authority and responsibilities of panchayats. RERA was set up in different states to ensure transparency in real estate projects, protect the interest of consumers and to establish an adjudicating mechanism for speedy dispute redressal.
