CCTVs turned off for 45 mins: Supriya Sule expresses concern over Baramati poll incident
Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP on Monday shot off a complaint to the Election Commission of India raising concerns after the CCTVs monitoring the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) used in the Baramati Lok Sabha polls and kept in a strong room, went off. On Monday, Supriya Sule posted a short video on X which showed CCTV cameras monitoring the strong room where the EVMs were kept, not displaying any images. Sule claimed that «the CCTVs going off for 45 minutes is suspicious; when we contacted the election department officials and the administration, we didn't get a satisfactory reply. There is no technician present, and our party functionary is not allowed to survey the EVMs. This is a very serious issue and the Election Commission should take immediate cognizance and disclose why the CCTVs went off». She also asked the EC to take action against those involved in switching off the CCTVs.

Violence and beauty
Splendid works of art are inspired not only by positive aspects of life and nature; they are also born of the dark side of life. For example, the recent splash of colour, of aurora borealis, the Northern Lights, has resulted in rainbow brushstrokes across a vast sky canvas, worldwide. Northern Lights are normally visible only in the upper reaches of the northern hemisphere at certain times of the year, a popular tourist attraction in Scandinavia. Suddenly, these multi-hued lights have broken free, becoming visible in many countries of Europe and in America, in the UK and in Ladakh, India. The cause is solar flare-ups gone rogue, creating violent solar storms. To protect us, the earth's magnetic field deflects the flare particles back to the sun; the ensuing reaction brings on the spectacular celestial show. Wartime poetry is known to tug at the heartstrings, and evoke deep reflection on why we are such a violent species. Bloggers' outpourings on their search for inner peace while suffocated by negative events are lyrical essays and poems that give expression to deep self-doubt and for some, later, self-discovery and illumination.

How does ' throwing eggs' help new investment in China? Executive order of Joe Biden gets sidelined
card game is helping investment agencies in China stay afloat as US investment towards the world's second-largest economy led by President Xi Jinping, keeps falling through the cracks due to a recent executive order by current US President Joe Biden. The executive order signed by US Prez Biden back in August 2023, restricts American investment in China in significant sectors including artificial intelligence, quantum computing and other technology-based services. This has led to a void for Chinese companies and investment agencies as they are looking at raising funds to keep themselves afloat as the US investments keep pulling out. However, card game, Guandan, also known as 'throwing eggs' has come to the rescue of the Chinese, according to an NBC report.
