United Spirits share price plunged almost 7 per cent in morning trade on BSE on Friday, November 10, as investors offloaded shares of the company in the wake of its September quarter earnings which showed a significant year-on-year (YoY) fall in standalone revenue and profit. In an exchange filing on Wednesday, November 8, United Spirits said its standalone revenue from operations dropped almost 19 per cent YoY to ₹6,733.8 crore. In the same quarter last year, the company's revenue from operations was at ₹8,275.9 crore.

BlackRock Inc. is looking to launch an exchange-traded fund that would be centered on Ether, helping to spur a rally in the second-largest cryptocurrency. Nasdaq, the exchange that BlackRock is working with on the ETF, on Thursday submitted what’s known as a 19b-4 form, marking the next step in the process to get such a fund launched. The Wall Street behemoth had earlier registered paperwork in Delaware for the fund, according to documents posted to the Delaware Department of State Division of Corporations website. The move marks BlackRock’s second major foray into crypto-centric ETFs after it filed for a Bitcoin spot fund in June. That application helped spur a rally for digital assets and lured other issuers into getting into the race. The price of Ether rose as much as 11% on Thursday, crossing above $2,000 and hitting the highest level since April, data compiled by Bloomberg show. VanEck, Invesco, 21Shares and others have filings for spot-Ether ETFs as well.

Oil prices were little changed on Friday after rising in the previous session but are set to fall for a third week as concerns of supply disruptions from the Israel-Hamas conflict have ebbed allowing demand worries to reassert themselves. Brent crude futures for January were flat at $80.01 a barrel at 0157 GMT, while the U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for December were at $75.67, down 7 cents. Brent futures are down 5.7% this week while WTI has declined 5.9% since last week.

Edmonton Police Service described as “serious, targeted incident” at a shopping complex Thursday in deep southeast Edmonton.Around noon MT, over a dozen police cruisers and an ambulance responded reports of a shooting at the Petro-Canada gas station and A&W in the Harvest Pointe shopping complex just off Ellerslie Road and 50th Street.Upon arrival, police said officers found a 41-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy in medical distress.EMS responded, however, both the man and child died of their injuries on scene.They are a father and son, EPS confirmed. Not long after the shooting, family members began showing up to the scene, where they learned their loved ones had died.The homicide section is now investigating the suspicious deaths and said detectives have determined this was a targeted attack.As of Thursday evening, autopsies had yet to be scheduled.“We are sad to report that a child lost their life as a result of this violent event,” EPS Homicide Section Staff Sgt.

The rainfall in the national capital comes amid the Delhi government's ongoing efforts to implement the idea of 'artificial rain' to curtail the pollution situation in the city. On Thursday, the Delhi government decided to carry out 'artificial rain' to combat the air pollution in the city, said officials. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has also fielded ministers to ensure the implementation of anti-pollution measures. As part of the inspection process, several Delhi ministers were seen on Thursday inspecting different areas and borders connecting Delhi to neighbouring states. Currently, Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) has been implemented in the national capital after the city's air quality plummeted to the 'severe plus' category.
