MS Dhoni refused crores for friendship. MSD's bat sticker story revealed
MS Dhoni, the iconic figure in Indian cricket, has sparked considerable interest with his latest bat sticker as the IPL 2024 approaches. As captain of the Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni appears to be gearing up for what could potentially be his final hurrah in cricket. Displaying the 'Prime Sports' logo on his bat serves as Dhoni's gesture of appreciation, reflecting his gratitude and affection for those who have supported him throughout his illustrious career. The owner of Prime Sports, Paramjit Singh, lauded Dhoni's action, describing it as a testament to their strong friendship. This act of appreciation transcended geographical boundaries, gaining recognition even from cricketing legends like Michael Hussey and Adam Gilchrist in Australia. Nevertheless, Prime Sports isn't the sole beneficiary of Dhoni's heartfelt gestures. Somi Kohli, the proprietor of 'Beat All Sports' (BAS), one of India's prominent sports manufacturing companies, disclosed Dhoni's greatness during the 2019 World Cup. Despite the tournament marking Dhoni's final appearance in Indian colors, he opted not to charge any fees for donning the BAS logo on his bat.

Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia accuse WFI of using devious means to get suspension lifted, threaten fresh protest
Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia on Wednesday alleged that national federation chief Sanjay Singh used devious means to get the suspension on WFI lifted by United World Wrestling (UWW) and threatened to restart their agitation against the body. The UWW on Tuesday lifted the provisional suspension on India but directed the national federation to provide written guarantees that there would be no discriminatory action against the protesting trio of Punia, Malik and Vinesh Phogat. The suspension was imposed by UWW in August last year after the WFI failed to hold elections in time. Punia, Malik and Phogat have been protesting for more than a year, demanding the arrest of former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for allegedly sexually harassing women grapplers.

Tiger Woods has changed his stripes, will it be eagle, par or bogey?
Tiger Woods playing his way to another major tournament victory while wearing a red polo shirt with a white Nike swoosh. That image is officially in the past, however. In January, Woods announced the end of his 27-year deal with Nike, which had made him hundreds of millions of dollars. The partnership was marked by memorable ads and, of course, the red Nike shirts that Woods wore during many final rounds on Sundays. When Woods announced the ending of his partnership with Nike, he said there would “certainly be another chapter.” On Monday, he and his new brand sponsor, TaylorMade Golf, made clear that the next chapter would again include a red polo shirt. It will be stitched with a tiger in the center, the logo for his new brand under TaylorMade: Sun Day Red.
