Adani Group dealings with other countries not Sri Lankan concern: President Anura Kumara Dissanayake
Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said his government is not concerned with Adani Group's dealings with other countries, but is instead focused only on what the conglomerate does in Sri Lanka. He said his «stable government» intends to «pave the way» for more Indian investments. «We don't have any concerns over how they (Adani) work with other countries. What is important for us is how they work with us,» Dissanayake told ET in an exclusive interview on Tuesday. «We are basically concerned about our investments, our development. We will be looking at how they have worked in our country. If they have worked in a manner that suits us, fits our initiatives, we don't mind working with Adani Group.» Also Read: No compromise on India's security, seeks stronger ties, says Sri Lanka's President

Is Donald Trump stacking his cabinet picks in second term with political losers? Here's what a host is saying
MSNBC anchor named Ayman Mohyeldin recently highlighted a ‘striking pattern’ among the cabinet picks of US President- elect Donald Trump for his upcoming second term while eminently noting that many of these nominees are those specific individuals who have experienced significant electoral defeats previously, reported Huffpost. According to Huffpost, among them are former US Presidential candidates Marco Rubio, Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom Donald Trump has nominated for key positions such as Secretary of State and Director of National Intelligence. Ayman Mohyeldin has also pointed out that Donald Trump is not only selecting those who have lost US Presidential races but also individuals who have failed in important Republican contests which includes Mehmet Oz and Lori Chavez-DeRemer. Donald Trump's Views on Same-Sex Marriage: Here's What You Should Know
This stance, which was less common among GOP figures at the time, suggested a willingness to recognize LGBTQ+ rights, signaling some level of support for same-sex relationships. However, his views have shifted since then, leaving many questioning what his 2024 administration might mean for the future of marriage equality. By 2015, Trump changed his position to endorse «traditional marriage» when speaking with CNN. This statement reflected a more conservative viewpoint that aligned with the party's stance at that time. However, after being elected in 2016, he appeared to soften his position, telling 60 Minutes that he was «fine» with same-sex marriage, despite the GOP's critique of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the issue.

Travis Kelce spent a whopping $175,000 worth of birthday gifts for his girlfriend Taylor Swift; here's what he gave the star singer
Taylor Swift reportedly received $175K in birthday presents from Travis Kelce, and a source close to the couple clarified this. Although there were no reports of Taylor Swift celebrating her 35th birthday this past weekend with friends, the singer still appears to have had a fantastic birthday, as quoted in a report by Marie Claire. On Friday evening, Travis Kelce attended the Kansas City Chiefs' required holiday party, but he reportedly left early to join Swift for a private celebration of Swift's birthday. Even though the celebration was modest, Kelce's presents for Swift were anything but, if a report from The Sun that lists the opulent items the NFL player gave her to embrace the occasion is any indication. According to The Sun, Kelce spent nearly $175,000 on flowers and jewellery for Swift, including:

Is the planet Earth in danger? What was found in the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars by the James Webb Space Telescope?
asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars were found by the James Webb Space Telescope. Some are going to Earth. The asteroids that kill dinosaurs are larger than these. However, they continue to pose a threat. Ten years ago, a tiny asteroid exploded over Russia. To track these asteroids, scientists have developed new techniques. This lessens the impact on Earth. With the use of historical data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), astronomers have made a significant discovery. In the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, they discovered an incredibly high number of small asteroids. The enormous space rocks that led to the extinction of dinosaurs are much larger than these tiny asteroids, which range in size from a bus to multiple stadiums.

IISc-incubated startup develops eco-friendly cement, claims it saves construction cost
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has said it has developed an eco-friendly cement alternative using the Geopolymer technology. The innovation aims to not only cut carbon emissions compared to traditional Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), but also promises zero use of water. The new tech, IISc team claims, would offer 15-20% cost advantage . The startup, Novacret claims that for every square foot of pavers it produces, it saves approximately 2.04 kg of CO2 emissions as compared to OPC. When ET spoke to one of the four cofounders, Nanjunda Rao K S who is also chief research scientist at IISc said, “ Geopolymer technology involves using industrial byproducts like fly ash from thermal power plants and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) from the steel industry as binding materials.” He added that initially fly ash and GGBS were used only as partial replacements for Portland cement in concrete but now act as complete replacement. “The benefits are significant, geopolymer-based materials achieve full strength in just three days in tropical climates like India, compared to the 28 days required for Portland cement.” The material is suitable for precast construction, where components like paving blocks can be made in advance, studies by the startup have highlighted.
