Kamala Harris to increase media presence with less than a month to US elections; is it too late?
Kamala Harris may be looking at getting the edge over her Republican adversary Donald Trump in the upcoming US elections in November, but things may not be so easy if she does not change some of her strategies, including increasing her media presence, which is the need of the hour. According to a previous ET report, there are already questions on her reduced media presence, that has led to losing her acceptability and popularity among US voters, which she needs to heal, with just weeks left for the US elections.

A win-win situation: Manchester City claim partial win over Premier League on APT rules
Manchester City claimed a partial victory over the Premier League on Monday after an arbitration panel ruled on sponsorship deals, known as Associated Party Transactions (APT), that the Abu Dhabi-owned club was blocked from completing. The Premier League put its own spin on what some commentators saw as a landmark verdict, saying the panel's redacted 175-page document endorsed the overall objectives and decision-making of the APT system. The panel found parts of the league's APT rules broke British competition law, however, and were also unlawful because clubs were unable to comment on types of data the league would take into account.

September auto retails down 9.26% on heavy rainfall, weak sentiments
passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles in September, pulling the overall sales to customers down 9.26% year on year to 1,723,330 units, Federation of Automobile Dealership Associations (Fada) said on Monday. While the passenger vehicle retails have been on a decline for some months now, this is the first monthly sales drop at an aggregate level (across the segments) since the start of this fiscal, indicating a broad-based slowdown in the world’s largest two and three-wheeler market and third-largest car market. Despite steep discounts and attractive consumer offers, car retail sales fell nearly 19% year on year last month. Passenger vehicle (PV) dealers are facing all-time high inventory levels of 80-85 days, equivalent to 790,000 vehicles worth about ₹79,000 crore, due to aggressive dispatches by automakers, Fada said in a statement.

Ola Electric's market cap falls below $5 billion for the first time since listing
Ola Electric's market capitalisation slipped below $5 billion on Monday, the first time since it listed in August. The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker's market capitalisation on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) stood at $4.7 billion on October 7. After its debut on the bourses, at an issue price of Rs 76, the company’s market capitalisation had topped $7 billion. Ola has been receiving customer complaints regarding after-sales service, software glitches and hardware problems, which experts say have contributed to the decline in sales of its scooters.
