Constructive on markets, 2 stocks to buy now: Sudeep Shah
Sudeep Shah, Head of Technical & Derivatives Research (Equity & Currency), SBI Securities, says “given the kind of up move that we have witnessed from 21,800 right up to 22,700, if the markets consolidate here, it would be a nice thing and going forward 22,450, 22,500 will act as a strong base. Till the 22,450-22,500 zone holds, we could see this up move extending up to 22,950-23,000 in the next few sessions.” Shah also says: “I feel Aditya Birla Capital from a medium-term perspective can be bought with a stop loss at Rs 200 on the downside and Rs 220 on the upside. The second stock that we like is MCX.” What do you make of the market setup because after that big runup that we have seen for the last three consecutive sessions, do you see some sort of topping out for the market right now or do you see more legs to this? Sudeep Shah: What we are witnessing in the markets is that overall the indices are in an uptrend, but global cues of rising dollar index, we have been witnessing the US 10-year bond yields also rising in the last few sessions and the inflation numbers which have come higher than expected.

US techie sues TCS for discrimination against Americans and favouring Indians on H-1B visas
TCS) in the global consulting practice, has taken legal action against the tech giant, alleging discriminatory employment practices. In a lawsuit filed in a US court, Devorin claims that TCS exhibits bias towards H-1B visa-holder employees of Indian/South Asian origin while targeting older American workers for termination to make room for Indian nationals and «freshers». Devorin has demanded a jury trial to address these allegations of discrimination. According to the complaint, Devorin was informed in July last year that his team was disbanded, and he was required to apply for a consultant role directly on an engagement. Despite his persistent efforts through emails and applications, Devorin's attempts did not progress beyond the initial stage. He believes that the resource management group intentionally hindered his applications. In contrast, a younger Indian employee swiftly secured a role and was offered multiple positions, none of which were extended to Devorin.

What to expect from TCS Q4 earnings? Sandip Sabharwal answers
«I think these are broadly the themes which from a stock market perspective could do well. Then, the power demand could go up and that could benefit some of the power companies supplying on merchant basis and I think that those stocks already also had some sort of run up because of this,» says Sandip Sabharwal, asksandipsabharwal.com. Let us begin by getting in your thoughts then on the latest brokerage notes as well that are coming in from something like a Zomato. JM Financial has raised the target price and categorically said there is no signs of slowing down. Your views? Yes, so I think among the new generation companies which got listed, Zomato has been the one which has shown the fastest turnaround. Now, the pace of turnaround I believe is already built into the stock prices and this is a normal phenomenon when price reaches a particular level, then the brokerage upgrades the price targets. But the price target is aggressive. So, even a small amount of slippage in expectations can lead to a sell-off. So, I would think that the stock is more than fairly valued at this price. I would believe that the valuations are on the higher side at 196 levels.
