Strides Pharma Science fell over 3% to Rs 518 in Tuesday's trade on BSE after the company announced plans to spin off its CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation) and soft gelatin businesses into a new entity, OneSource. The company intends to «build a one-of-a-kind specialty pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing powerhouse with capabilities in biologics, oral soft gels, complex injectables, sterile injectables, and other complex drug delivery systems», according to an exchange filing. Strides Pharma shareholders will get one share of OneSource with a face value of Re 1 apiece for every two shares of face value Rs 10 each held in Strides Pharma. There is no cash consideration involved.

The MCX October gold futures were trading down by Rs 26 or 0.04% from the Monday's closing price at Rs 58,675 per 10 gram on the MCX while the December Silver futures were trading at Rs 71,842 per kg, lower by Rs 308 or 0.43%. On Comex, gold futures were trading at $1,933.10 per troy ounce on Tuesday, down by $3.50 or 0.18% while silver futures were at $23.290, lower by $0.095 or 0.410%. Neha Qureshi, Senior Technical & Derivative Analyst, Anand Rathi Commodities & Currencies sees MCX gold October futures getting stuck in a sideways pattern on the daily charts and expects it to trade in a range between Rs 58,300 and 59,400. «Currently, the price of gold is trading below both its 50-day and 100-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMA), which are acting as resistance levels. Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is also indicating a bearish sentiment with a negative divergence.

Philadelphia Eagles maintained their unbeaten start to the NFL season with a comprehensive 25-11 victory on the road over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday. Treasury yields scaled a fresh 16-year peak on Tuesday, underpinning the dollar near a 10-month summit, as investors responded to the message from the Federal Reserve and other major central banks of rates staying elevated for longer. Asia-Pacific stock benchmarks sagged along with gold, while crude oil continued to drift back from 10-month highs. The yield on 10-year Treasury notes rose to 4.552%, a level not seen since October 2007. The U.S. dollar index — which measures the currency against six major developed market peers, including the euro and yen — ticked up 0.05% to 106.00, after reaching 106.10 overnight for the first time since Nov.

Day trading guide for today: After losing for fourt straight sessions, Indian stock market ended flat on Monday. Nifty 50 index ended marginaly higher at 19,674 levels, BSE Sensex finished 14 points higher at 66,023 mark whereas Bank Nifty index gained 154 points and closed at 44,766 levels. In broad market, small-cap index went up 0.12 per cent whereas mid-cap index surged 0.46 per cent during Monday deals.

Bajaj Finance jumped 4.6%, leading the Nifty gainers in Monday's trading, as investors cheered the lender's plans to raise funds from the market. Analysts said the move, in addition to bolstering the company's capital base, is expected to improve its financial ratios.
