PARIS (Reuters) — French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire on Sunday said he was «very hopeful» Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk will pick France for a substantial investment linked to the production of electric vehicles in Europe.

Tesla's job posting says that the company is looking for people to capture "high quality data that will contribute to the improvement of our vehicles performance." According to a series of job postings on its careers website, this will be a three-month stint. The position includes both day and night time shifts. Tesla has roles listed in over a dozen US cities, including Austin, Texas, Denver, Colorado, and Brooklyn, New York.

World's richest man and the owner of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, took legal action against law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. In the lawsuit, Elon Musk claimed it took advantage of the company while running up a $90 million bill. Twitter owner has demanded the recovery of the $90 million fee his company gave to the law firm for defeating his bid to walk away from his $44 billion buyout of the social media company.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has expressed his expectation of achieving fully autonomous vehicles this year, a goal he has been committed to for some time. Musk stated in April that the direction is unmistakably heading towards full self-driving capabilities, and he cautiously anticipates achieving this milestone within the current year. To advance this goal, the autopilot system is currently being tested on public roads, with up to 400,000 Tesla owners participating in the testing process.

Rivian Automotive surged more than 18% on Friday as it continued to rally after the electric vehicle (EV) maker reported better-than-expected quarterly deliveries early this week.Rivian said on Monday it delivered 12,640 vehicles in the second quarter on steady demand from customers, beating market estimates. That result was in line with that of market leader Tesla Inc, which on Sunday reported record quarterly vehicle deliveries fueled by incentives such as prices cuts and U.S. federal credits.

Lipton, Rosen & Katz. The lawsuit aims to recover a significant portion of the $90 million fee that the law firm received for successfully preventing Musk from abandoning his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter.  The complaint was lodged on Wednesday in the California Superior Court located in San Francisco.

The complaint by Musk's X Corp, which owns Twitter, was filed on Wednesday in the California Superior Court in San Francisco. Musk accused Wachtell of exploiting Twitter by accepting, in the final days before the October 27, 2022 deadline to buy Twitter, a huge «success» fees doled out by departing Twitter executives who were grateful that Musk would be forced to close. The world's richest person, who also runs Tesla Inc and SpaceX, called the $90 million payout «unconscionable,» given that Wachtell had billed less than one-third that sum for its few months of work on the Delaware lawsuit.
