Quiver Markets Wrap: Tech Giants Propel Market Surge
Quiver Quantitative — Wall Street is experiencing a surge in stock prices, reaching new records. This growth is propelled by strong economic indicators and the anticipation of robust corporate profits. The expectation of Federal Reserve rate cuts and the continuous advancements in artificial intelligence are also contributing factors. This optimism prevails despite some concerns about the rapid pace of the market's rise. The focus this week is on the earnings reports from significant players like Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), and Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), which are expected to provide further market direction.

Elon Musk expects 1 billion humanoid robots by 2040s
Tesla boss and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has supported the prediction that there will be about one billion humanoid robots on Earth in two decades. He took to X, formerly Twitter, to back the prediction made by David Holz, the founder of Artificial Intelligence (AI) research lab Midjourney. Holz said in a post last week that «we should be expecting a billion humanoid robots on earth in the 2040s and a hundred billion (mostly alien) robots throughout the solar system in the 2060s.» Replying to this, Musk wrote in a post, «Probably something like that, provided the foundations of civilization are stable.»

Netflix, Tesla Earnings to Tell Market's Next Move - Watch Options Market for Cues
There are a few things on markets that I have come across over the past few days. The first and most obvious is that OPEX is now behind us, meaning that some of the flows that have supported the S&P 500 and NASDAQ are, likewise, behind us.

Lovable Elon pulls a fast one
You have to love the temerity of Elon Musk. He took to one of his companies, X, formerly known as Twitter, to lay out his requirements to the board of another, Tesla, for the new pay package he would like to receive. His last package, in 2018, was worth $55 billion and is still subject to lawsuits by ungrateful shareholders who participated in a windfall none could have anticipated, the company’s market cap rising tenfold in six years.
