Man Extreme Discover Rhythm Research isolate testing Man lives like a 'timeless' caveman for experiment, discovers bizarre secret about the human mind
Michel Siffre undertook a radical self-experiment: to live in complete isolation inside a glacier cave in the Scarasson mountain in the Ligurian Alps—130 meters below the surface—for over two months. Inspired by the space race and the psychological challenges astronauts might face, Siffre aimed to understand how the human body perceives time in the absence of natural cues like sunlight or clocks. “This idea came to me—this idea that became the idea of my life,” Siffre later told Cabinet Magazine. “I decided to live like an animal, without a watch, in the dark, without knowing the time.”

Waters SUN WhatsApp country testing International Honda to test renewable tech in space soon
Honda will partner with US companies to test in orbit a renewable energy technology it hopes to one day deploy on the Moon's surface, the Japanese carmaker announced Friday. The auto giant is developing a mechanism capable of generating electricity and oxygen continuously — enabling astronauts to breathe — thanks to solar energy and water known to be present in some lunar soils. Now it plans to test this technology aboard the International Space Station, it said in a release, without giving a date. Honda already employs the system in its electric vehicles, and now wants to extend it to space to «to support life in space and on Earth.» «During the Lunar Day, the system will use electricity generated by the sun to power the process. Honda's high-differential pressure water electrolysis system will then produce hydrogen and oxygen from water,» it explained.

Manufacturing Gap economy Trade country electronic testing Trump tariffs to test resiliency of US consumers
Donald Trump lambasted globalization as a raw deal for the United States that has devastated US manufacturing towns. Trump left out the upside to the United States from the liberal flow of goods: a reliable supply of affordably priced appliances, clothing and electronics whose consumption has helped lift US economic growth above other developed economies in recent years. «Obviously we've benefited significantly,» said Paul Gruenwald, global chief economist at S&P Global Ratings. «We get to consume a lot of things that are produced more efficiently in other countries.» Trump's tariffs are almost certain to negatively impact this dynamic, say economists who see the levies lifting the price on everything from Gap t-shirts to the Apple iPhone to French wine. «This is very clearly going to raise consumer prices,» Michael Pearce, a US economist with Oxford Economics, said of the barrage of levies announced late Wednesday in an unveiling the White House billed as «liberation day.»

New India Cooperative Bank's former chairman Hiren Bhanu and his wife Gauri Bhanu as proclaimed offenders in connection with the Rs 122 crore embezzlement case, a police official said on Thursday. The Bhanu couple fled the country separately days before the embezzlement case came to light in February. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the city police, which is probing the case, has so far arrested eight persons, including the bank's former General Manager Hitesh Mehta and former CEO Abhimanyu Bhoan. «The EOW had moved an application before the court seeking that Bhanu and his wife be declared as proclaimed offenders. The court has accepted the plea,» an official told PTI. The court had earlier issued a non-bailable warrant against the duo, he said. COST Trade President country testing rights Trump to Modi: ‘You’re not treating us right’ as US hits India with 26% tariff
Donald Trump on Wednesday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a «great friend» while announcing a 26% tariff on Indian imports. However, he said, «You're a friend of mine, but you're not treating us right.» Trump claimed that the move was a «discounted reciprocal tariff» aimed at countering India's high duties on American goods. Also Read: India to face 'discounted' 26% tariff from US; Trump slaps 34% on China «India, very, very tough. Very, very tough. The Prime Minister just left. He's a great friend of mine, but I said, 'You're a friend of mine, but you're not treating us right.' They charge us 52 per cent. You have to understand, we charge them almost nothing, for years and years and decades,» Trump said, holding a chart listing countries and their tariff rates. He argued that the US had long tolerated unfavourable trade terms and had only started imposing tariffs on China after he took office seven years ago. «It was only seven years ago, when I came in, we started with China and we took in hundreds of billions of dollars from China in tariffs,» he said. The announcement comes just weeks after Modi’s visit to Washington, D.C., in February, less than a month after Trump began his second term in the White House. Trade tensions between the two countries have been a longstanding issue, with Trump previously calling India the «tariff king» and a «big abuser» in global trade.
