An unwitting cryptocurrency holder has reportedly fallen victim to an eye-watering $4.46 million phishing scam.

A group of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols have teamed up to solve liquidity problems in the Cosmos ecosystem. The teams involved include cross-chain bridging protocol Wormhole, liquidity aggregator Swing, lending protocol Tashi, and Cosmos network Evmos. 

Cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx, that fell victim to a hack last week, is set to start its deposit and withdrawal services for major cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC), from September 21.

Accounts monitoring blockchains for major mints, trades and token transfers have flagged a $1-billion authorization of Tether (USDT) in Tether’s Treasury that is set to provide near-term USDT liquidity for the Tron network.

Tether, the stablecoin issuer behind USDT, has reportedly added Britannia Bank & Trust, a private bank based in The Bahamas to process dollar transfers on its platform.
