Mcap of four of top-10 most valued firms erode by Rs 96,605.66 cr; HDFC Bank hit hard
HDFC Bank taking the biggest hit. While Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India suffered erosion from their valuation, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, ITC, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and Hindustan Unilever were the winners. Together they added Rs 82,861.16 crore in combined market valuation. The market valuation of HDFC Bank tumbled Rs 37,025.46 crore to Rs 13,37,919.84 crore.

Oil prices rose on Friday, closing the week higher on the back of cold weather in Europe and the U.S. as well as additional economic stimulus flagged by China. China's central bank switches to one main interest rate in major overhaul decision - reports
According to comments sent by the Chinese central bank to the Financial Times, the PBOC said it would prioritise «the role of interest rate adjustments» and leave behind «quantitative objectives» for loan growth in what would count as a significant change in Chinese monetary policy. ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund (MF), Kotak MF, Tata MF, Motilal Oswal MF, 3P Investment Managers, Kotak Infinity Fund — Class AC, ITI MF, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Amansa Holdings, and Clarus Capital were anchor investors, according to a circular uploaded on BSE website. According to the circular, Standard Glass Lining Technology Ltd has allotted 87.86 lakh shares to 10 entities at Rs 140 per equity share, which is also the upper end of the price band. This aggregates the transaction size to Rs 123.01 crore.

capital markets regulator Sebi to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO). The IPO is a combination of fresh issuance of up to 1.9 crore equity shares and an Offer-For-Sale of up to 35 lakh shares by promoter Shankarlal Deepchand Mehta, according to the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) filed on December 30. The aggregate shareholding of the promoters and promoter group of Rajputana Stainless is at 78.21 per cent, while public shareholders have a 21.79 per cent stake.
