Stock market today: Indian stock market benchmarks consolidated for the second consecutive session on Tuesday, June 11, amid weak global cues.Despite opening higher and trading in positive territory for a significant part of the session, equity benchmarks—Sensex and Nifty 50—ended flat on profit booking in the absence of fresh triggers.Sensex hit its intraday high of 76,860.53, but prey to profit booking in the fag-end and ended 33 points, or 0.04 per cent, lower at 76,456.59. Nifty 50 opened at 23,283.75 against its previous close of 23,259.20 and touched its intraday high of 23,389.45.

Sectorally, buying was seen in capital goods, oil & gas, and telecom while selling was seen in metal, healthcare, banks and FMCG stocks.

Shree Cements Ltd. fell 0.6 per cent to Rs 27080.8 in Tuesday's trade as of 01:33PM (IST) even as the benchmark Nifty ruled at 23346.9, up 87.71 points. The scrip had closed at Rs 27246.7 in the previous session. The stock quoted a 52-week low of Rs 22601.3 and a high of Rs 30710.15. The company quoted a market-cap of Rs 97778.65 crore on the BSE.

SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd. slipped 0.43 per cent to Rs 713.9 in Tuesday's trade. It hit a high of Rs 719.95 and low of Rs 711.55 during the session. On the technical charts, the 200-DMA of the stock stood at Rs 749.47, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 716.6. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. On the other hand, if the stock trades below 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it is considered a bearish trend and if trades between these averages, then it suggests the stock can go either way.
