Ashok Leyland Ltd. traded 1.55 per cent higher in Tuesday's session at 12:53PM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 232.7 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 236.15 and Rs 230.25, respectively, during the session so far. The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 237.9 and a 52-week low of 151.6. About 523,654 shares changed hands on the counter so far.

United Spirits Ltd. gained 0.69 per cent to Rs 1324.15 in Tuesday's trade. It hit a high of Rs 1334.05 and low of Rs 1310.35 during the session. On the technical charts, the 200-DMA of the stock stood at Rs 1102.88, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 1187.23. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward. So, I think the worry is less but because we are at elevated levels and because this entire PSU pack and the defence, infrastructure all these things were so overheated that I think they will still need three to six months of sideways movement or consolidation so to say despite the stable government.

Tata Power Company Ltd. rose 0.56 per cent to Rs 450.45 in Tuesday's trade. It hit an intraday high of Rs 453.65 and low of Rs 447.0, respectively, during the day. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 464.3 and low of Rs 215.65.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 60.1 points to 23319.3 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

ACC Ltd. gained 0.13 per cent to Rs 2546.55 at 11:06AM (IST) in Tuesday's trade. The scrip hit a high of Rs 2572.4 and low of Rs 2544.55 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 2543.2 in the previous session. The counter had a total traded volume of 11:06AM shares so far with a turnover of Rs 1.51 crore on BSE.
